I have to say personally though that G Bauer was happy to pose for a picture and sign a postcard for my 3 year old last year in the pits at Inzell so fair play for that You have to feel sorry for Luca in some respects, in that Dad is pushing him forward when he's possibly not ready. Yes he can ride, and Yes he has SOME experience, but he needs to ride in meetings where his Dad isn't riding. That may be hard if he can't drive or doesnt have the resources to travel to meetings without Dad. On your second point, Bauer is a fans favourite because he will sign autographs and pose for pics with fans as he did for you and your son. He just appears to have a problem with other German riders. However I fully expect him to be the Inzell wild card this year!

steve69
Johann Weber is also very good with the fans & I would say there were more fans wearing his bobble hats etc than Bauer. That was the case at Inzell last year. Also, I would say that last year access to the riders at Inzell was brilliant for the general public. Pits open immediately after practice & before each days racing. You can even get to the Russians which was impossible a few years ago. Really looking forward to Inzell & Heerenveen again this year. Can`t make Berlin though. Hopefully it`ll be on the list to do 2020.

Schwantz34
Just watched the Russian meeting from the weekend, some great racing and nasty spills for Khomitsevich and Ivanov. Valeev looks like he could challenge Koltakov this year but does anyone think he was a bit ruthless and guilty for the Ivanov crash?
Conkers
Another busy weeekend in Russia with the Super League rounds 5/6 in Ufa, and the Major League Rounds 1/2 in Neftekamsk. Ufa hope to have a video stream and the meeting starts at 9am GMT both days, whilst the Neftekamsk meeting doesn't appear to have a stream at the moment, but this can change. The best stream last week in Shadrinsk came from a fan in the crowd with an iPhone so it may well be the same this week. No start time for the Major League meeting at this stage, but as it is in the same time zone as Ufa, it may very well run at the same start time. Once I have the links I'll post them. The Russian Forum usually carries live updates to both meetings http://www.russpeedway.info/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=

Is the sport still state funded? A lot of teams struggle as the sport funding for many of the regions was sucked away to pay for the World Cup, so Speedway & Ice Speedway have suffered. The crowds appear to averaging around the 900-1000 mark, which appear to be down on previous years too. Maybe they have the same problems as us in that the die hards are keeping the sport going
