Mega Lads Togliatti are League Champions.

Quite a good feed today, and some cracking racing with a dead heat thrown in for good measure in Heat 5, when Evgeni Saydullin tried a list minute dash to the line, only to finish in a dead heat with Sharov. Koltakov didn't look all that happy with his performance, and Franky Zorn struggled although he was making starts, he was easily passed by the young Russians.

The final round is tomorrow at 10.00GMT

Finnish final, title #7 for Järf.

1. Mats Järf, VMK 11+3+3
2. Matti Isoaho, OMK 12+2+2
3. Christer Biskop, KMS 13+1
4. Tomi Tani, VRT 15+0
5. Jussi Nyrönen, P-KMK 10+1
6. Tomi Norola, SeMK 10+0
7. Mikko Mäkinen, ValkMK 9
8. Jani-Pekka Koivula, KaMoKe 9
9. Riku Laurunen, PirMM 8
10. Jukka-Pekka Seppä, VaMP 5
11. Markku Larronmaa, VRT 5
12. Andrew Barret, SeMK 4
13. Timo Kankkunen, P-KMK 3
14. Timo Smed, OMK 2
15. Jarno Siltakoski, OMK 2
16. Jero Kirilov, PirMM 1
17. Tommi Suolammi, TamMC 0
18. Teppo Toivola, A-SMP 0

It was a decent meeting with a great final race. Järf gated and was gone but plenty of passing behind him. At one time it looked like Tani takes second and then it was Biskops to lose. But then on lap three backstraight Isoaho passed them both from the inside diving in to turn 3... Kankkunen blew an engine having crossed the line in his first and later withdrew. Järf also blew an engine but won two heats on Biskops bike while his mech’s changed his spare on the bike.

Barrett was in the mix all meeting but fell in his last.

Just been told Gunther Bauer has withdrawn from the German Championship and his wild card spot from the Weekend's Ice Speedway Gladiators meeting. I understand he has Influenza and fever.

Celina Liebmann will replace him in the German Championship, whilst Tobias Busch gets the Wild Card spot with Marc Geyer replacing Busch at reserve.

Do we know if there will be any coverage from Berlin`s German ICE Final today?

Sometimes the nice Dutch guy covers the weekend on periscope but have forgotten his name (Jesper V?)

Jesper is there but to the best of my knowledge, his mate who does the Periscope isn't there. he usually puts a link on the live updates, but there isn't one.

Jesper flew to Berlin rather than drove so either a) his car is cream crackered or b) he's had one to many German Speeding tickets and doesn't want to risk ant more!

I flew there this morning indeed, my mates are coming on Saturday by car :)

Hopefully the travel fiasco that was my trip to Landshut last July will not be replicated and I will be joining you in Berlin tomorrow.

Had a great if somewhat tiring weekend in Berlin, and thanks to Jesper for doing the updates from the meetings. I've put my photos from the weekend on my website

https://iancharlesphotos.net

Also look out for Bike magazine in the near future, as there was a British Freelance Photographer at his first meeting doing a feature on the sport. He was suitably impressed and he hope to got to some more meetings.
