And, in a recent Ekstraliga match I attended in Poland, he was superb - starting his night by passing Tai Woffinden to win heat 1 on Tai's home track. He went onto win three heats, had two thirds and fell off in his other ride whilst in a close fought race with Max. Max, himself, has been simply brilliant in recent matches at the NSS, but his efforts don't seem to translate into big point hauls regularly yet in Poland. In the same match Max netted just 4+2 from 5 rides but rode hard all night. It certainly would be good to see them both in the GPs in the coming years. Shame they're not British to join, say, Tai, Robert Lambert and Dan Bewley in Team GB. Pure conjecture, but if we still had the same situation that existed in the days when Ivan Mauger and Briggo rode in the British team, we might just have had a future World Cup winning line-up with those five?? Max ,Jack, Lambo,Drabik,Smektala the GP series in the future looks bright.

I’d say even at this stage he is a shoe in for Rebels rider of the year. Debbie must move heaven and earth to get him back next year. Come on leaps and bounds since he left Poole. Not having a dig at Poole before 5000 of you start flooding this excellent thread with off topic stuff.

This race from Czestochowa last Friday runs it very close- heat 15 and the context is that Czestochowa need 2 points from the race to reach the play-offs( which are about 10 times bigger than the UK ones)
Steve Shovlar
Just managed to watch the meeting this morning. Very good meeting from about heat 8. Heat 13 was excellent but Doyle never looked for his team mate once in the meeting never mind the race. On the second bend of lap 4 Doyle messed up and his speed was scrubbed allowing Fricke to catch and blast around. Excellent action. Belle Vue covered for Bewley quite well. They can give Lynn real test in the semi final. Somerset v Lynn the likely final though.

He has been absolutely superb and has to be the first name on our team sheet regardless of league structure next year.

The NSS is one of the best tracks in the world. Without question. Thought the 1st half of the match was pretty average with minimal passing but from heat 9 onwards wow, wow, wow. We are so lucky to have a track this good in the UK. This is similar to what I heard from people sat close to me but isn't that similar at most tracks where you have to wait for the dirt to sent to the fence to be able to ride there. It is not track prep, & that can be improved at most tracks to provide fair & entertaining racing, but, as others have said, track shape. GoFundMe is ok if you are on facebook but I am not & have tried numerous times to donate to other types of pages in different walks of life, so it is ok for buckets to be passed round. As has been said, it is your choice to donate.

Steve0
I’m still trying to work out how Fricke managed to win heat 13. Absolutely brilliant race. That is what speedway should be serving up in the majority of races across the country and you would see crowds increase as a result.Fantastic . Good luck to KL (who I predicted would be bottom) and Somerset - neither have won the top league. I now think both BV and Poole won’t make the final (Assuming KL aren’t stupid enough to pick the Rebels) but in the playoffs - anything can happen so nothing is certain. My pick for league champions are Somerset!
