Not injured so what rule says Scunthorpe can replace him ? No doubt someone on here will have knowledge of the rule that deems it ok to replace him ? We might be able to fill another 6 pages !!!! No replacement allowed. It's NL guests not riding in the Premiership or Championship for the rest of the season.
Phil The Ace
While leaving Danny Phillips with no club and no option to look for a club. Godfrey once again showing his class. Him and buster deserve each other

Ok I did not check his average but the point I am making is that it gives Rob scope to pick whoever is on the best form or goes well at a particular track. dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Voluntarily going with 'no facility' should not be an option Dropping Phillips should mean they should have go with 6 riders only and run 3 heats with only 1 rider

Scorpison
Danny should have been binned five monthe ago, when it was clear that he would never make the Champioship league. I have been saying this since May, how anyone can condemn supporters and Rob for having had enough of him, 20 odd races and he has not scored a bloody point, I left against Ipswichafter they realled of 6 x 5-1, yesterday we didnot bother goin against Sheffield, the reserves scored 3 points from 10 rides which I have said many times, less that being pathetic. The problem is that Rob has always included a dummy at reserve since 2012, and he will probably do so enext season. PhILLIPS has not only been getting his own rides, he has also beentaking R/R races. Godd luck to the lad, but I am very glad to see him gone, he must have cost the promotion a lot of cash, not in points money, but with supporters having seen enough. The main point is that 1 of the management committee seems to have been granted permission to break the rules (again). Which could benefit his team Sheffield. As it means that if Sheffield win at Redcar by 6 points or more next Friday they will be off the bottom of the League and give Redcar the wooden spoon again (unless Redcar can get at least a point at Workington in their last away meeting, which is unlikely). Seems very unfair to me, but it always seems to happen. Hope the 2 members of the management committee involved in this meeting had nothing to do with the decision. Good luck to Redcar in their appeal. Problem is I don't think Redcar promoter Kevin Keay is in the inner circle.

Charlieboy
Yes well done to Chris Harris. How come he's not riding at sheffield today his average is above both Berwick riders ? Did he not think he could get back in time ?

Then it is 5 of the 2nd best riders to qualify. But, to me & others have posted similar, it is not a team event as in pairs or 4's but an individual riders event which should be the top 16 riders using 2018 qualifying rides only. Have you checked what riders ARE available? here is a list taken from Top 20 in NL on Current Form Posted 5 hours ago My top 20 riders on current form as at 31.08.18 are as follows:- 01 (01) Tom Bacon-Birmingham-1150 02 (02) James Shanes-Birmingham-1140 03 (14) Danny Ayres-Mildenhall-1100 04 (04) Conner Mountain-Coventry-1035 05 (13) Georgie Wood-Eastbourne-1030 06 (07) Drew Kemp-Mildenhall-1025 07 (08) Ellis Perks-Plymouth-1010 08 (09) Mark Baseby-Eastbourne-1000 09 (03) Alfie Bowtell-Isle Of Wight-995 10 (11) Ben Morley-Isle Of Wight-990 11 (19) Josh Bailey-Mildenhall-985 12 ((---) Danyon Hume-Birmingham-950 13 (16) Jack Smith-Belle Vue-945 14 (15) Jack Thomas-Kent-940 15 (---) Anders Rowe-Kent-935 16 (---) Tom Perry-Belle Vue-930 17 ((---) Natham Stoneham-Kent-928 18 (---) Jordon Jenkins-Mildenhall-925 19 (12) Kyle Bickley-Belle Vue-910 20 (---) Leon Flint-Birmingham-905 From this list, 16 are unavailable through being in a CL team, having too high an average or underage. From the remaining riders, some have a similar average to what Danny has in the NL so it is about giving someone else a chance. Danny could have withdrawn his services because he is struggling & letting the team down. JPB & Shuttleworth did similar in previous years. And then factor in fixture clashes.. not much left to pick from. Not sure on eligibility but can see someone like Ryan Kinsley, Nathan Stoneman or Jordan Jenkins (if old enough).. maybe Connor Coles, although I think he may have too many fixture clashes. Sadly the change needed to be made, Danny's confidence was clearly taking a knock...whilst putting extra pressure on Gino to perform.. whoever gets the nod, he isn't likely to be any better than Danny. Good luck to whoever gets the opportunity.

Tosh1218
With reference to Danny Phillips rob godrey has been loyal to him and really the lad hasn't really kicked on ,his national league results are proof of this Danny himself might have asked to be released who knows but the beginning of the season he was excused when scoring low points coming back from serious injuries but lately he had ps been getting beating half a lap I have never ridden a speedway bike and admire any one who straddles onto one , hope Danny can take stock and come back stronger and good luck for the future young man and thank you for your efforts
