guitar_art
Looking forward to this one. It will be my first visit to Kent as their start time has always prevented me from making the journey. However its BH so no excuses for not going. Hoping there will be enough Brummie fans in attendance to make some noise. I really feel we can get something out of this, even a consolation point would be usefull at this point. Should be fun trying at any rate. See you there?
cityrebel
There will be a big crowd there tonight, so get there early. Last week's attendance against Plymouth was excellent for NL racing.

the hobbit
We couldnāt win at home so why do you think we can win at their place? I hope we do but, I think the Ā difference will be that the Kent reserves will heavily outscore ours so, Kent by 12 or moreĀ
cityrebel
Spooner not fully fit, I fancy the brummies to nick a point. Bacon and shanes are usually excellent at central park.

Guest GiveusaB
It's about time referees did their job properly and declare tracks unfit/un-safe for racing when the situation arises!!! Ā

cityrebel
Excellent meeting tonight with some fantastic racing. The clashes between hurry and shanes were superb.
Brummie Kev
You gotta feel sorry for Danyon Hume, that kid has absolutely no luck. Last year remember hisĀ season ended early through injury, this year he had injured his shoulder when riding for Ipswich. He tries everything to get back quick to an extent where he even pays for private treatment himself to speed up his recovery. Then third meetingĀ into his comeback he "hits a hole" on the track and now has a suspected broken collarbone. Its absolutely unbelievable! I know we got a great point tonight and are in hunt for the playoffs but this season cant end quick enough for me. Its been injury after injury plus bad luck, we've had the major crash with Mitch Davey, JPB injured, Hume twice and Leon Flint. I dont blame Layne Cupitt at all for deciding to take a break from the sport but it was unfortunate that it happened when his average dropped from 4 to 3, so that was bad luck. Its 2008 over again, thatĀ year a really good side was decimated by injury. Edited August 27, 2018 by Brummie Kev
teaboy279
The quality of the racing would have graced any tv screens, some real belting stuff and an important 3 pts. The Hume injury took the buzz out of the occasion. 're the track. In general it's the best it's been, and the racing only backs that up. But for some reason a hole keeps appearing on bend 4 after 10 or so heats. I assume it's a hangover from the poor shale problem clubs faced earlier in the season. Spoke to Leon for the first time tonight, and what a thoroughly pleasant and mature young man, his mechanical problems he suffered in his first ride was in fact a broken saddle bracket so no surprise he was struggling.Ā With the top 4 the brummies have and walker looking far better, you are one ringer 3 pointer away from being unbeatable imo. On the terraces the brummies fans appreciated the Kent supporters initial reaction to Daynons fall, who were shouting to the track staff and first aiders not to touch him or the bike so he could push home for the point. Unfortunately as it panned out this was not possible, it was nice of Danyons dad? who came back round and gave us a quick update on his condition. On a positive note an amazing Ā£1122.90 was collected on the evening by both sets of riders for the annual Ben fund collection.
Mike.Butler
One of the best meetings I've been to for a long time. The amount of passing and general excitement of the racing was brilliant.Ā I'm guessing the posters above condemning the track weren't there! The injury to Luke Bowen had nothing to do with the track conditions. It was simply a racing incident when James Shanes attempted to pass Luke on the outside. The track last night was in good condition and apart from the unfortunate injury to Danyon Hume itĀ was a thoroughly enjoyable meeting. Best wishes to Danyon for a speedy recovery.
