Fluke or not,it happened and could happen again. It didn't really look like a fluke to me,the Somerset lads gated and were untroubled after that.

how can it be a fluke ... Allen hole shoted 3 times ,Woryna caused the stoppage twice ... should’ve been excluded...

Ned Payne said he heard 'whispers' it could be them. But seeing he's said so on twitter I'm guessing he's pretty confident about it!

Bearing in mind the matchday programme has to be printed for Monday, where do you think Ned gets his info from?!;)

Somerset are the only team whose reserves have scored on a par with Pooles in all of Pooles recent home meetings so the loss of those 2 is huge but Poole can only beat what is in front of them.

27/6 Poole v Somerset.................Pooles reserves 12 ....Somersets 14...........Poole lose by 5

13 /8 Poole v Somerset...........8 - 8.........Poole win by 4

Then if we look at other teams at Poole

4/7 Belle Vue 19-3  .....Poole win by 19

25/7 Leicester 21-7.....Poole win by 26

1/8 Kings Lynn 22-5.....Poole win by 32

9/8 Leicester 9-5 (abandoned after heat 10)....Poole 20 ahead

22/8 Swindon 17-4..... Poole win by 18

Its quite clear Poole are winning matches due to their reserve strength and Somerset seem to be the only team who have reserves that can match Poole ....big loss and an easy Poole win now.

we've missed all those statistics

Well the track is due to get a proper natural soaking on Sunday so lets hope there is sufficient time Monday morning to get it sorted.

The boys will be down there from 7 am.

With their scuba diving gear? You know, so they can see the track.. :D

Depends how much rain we get tomorrow.  If it stops by the evening as expected then it will be no problem.

From today's Poole preview

Quote

The Pirates begin the action facing a Somerset side that has been hit by enforced changes. Richard Lawson has been ruled out through illness, a non-speedway injury that necessitates a 7-day side-lining, whilst Bradley Wilson-Dean is serving a 9-day stand down under medical regulations after crashing last Thursday at Ipswich. That incident came less than 24 hours after Jake Allen escaped an horrific crash that involved himself, Josh Auty and Richard Lawson at Somerset last Wednesday. It was remarkable to see all riders walk away from the incident that took out no fewer than four airbags, Allen though suffering elbow tissue damage and a bang to the kidneys, so misses Monday's 12:30pm start at Wimborne Road.

The full-strength Pirates are ready to pounce on the Rebels after the current leaders deposed them last Monday and a Poole win would move them back above Somerset in the table.

The visitors have booked Nikolaj Busk Jakobsen and Tero Aarnio to operate at reserve for them whilst cover for Lawson is still being evaluated.

Those two guest reserves are better than Allen and BWD, looking at their championship scores. As for greebo missing, he rarely does much at Poole so Somerset could yet again benefit. Edit Skidder just beat me to it.

The track is getting one hell of a watering today. Might need the track staff in when it stops to pump all the water off and give it a chance to dry overnight.

1.200 i believe. But should you or anybody else making the trip tomorrow it is advisable to get there early if you want a prime seat in the Grandstand, and a parking place in the car park.
