A few seasons ago (when we used to host all the Northern teams for the "Northern Launch"), Berwick sent their number eight, as the rest were at Kelso Races on a "jolly" which had been arranged long after the date of the Launch was announced. I remember my first visit to Kelso races on 29/03/2009,,, I was quite surprised to see 'Berwick Bandits' being advertised there, there was riders and bikes and was well promoted,,, 'The Berwick Speedway Novice Hurdle',I wander if that was the same time ? It would have been a bit later than that as the first Northern Launch was 2014. I think it was the 2016 one, but I'm not entirely sure.

The number 3 was on his kevlars, with studs/velcro still there for a number to go on top so he may not necessarily be number 3.

Well if TJ isn't no.3, who will be ?,,, and is there any need for studs and velcro ?

Dandelion
Maybe number 3 is Jorgensen's 'Back up' number, and his real number will be 5... 3 is just in case the team gets reshuffled later, maybe Lasse will start as 3 and have 5 on his Kevlars (With Velcro AND studs) I personally hope Jorgensen is at 5, as I think he will do a better job than Lasse there, and Lasse is more the team rider imo, so give him a good partner like Matty to team ride with at 3 and

I am sure the press (if any actually turn up) will get plenty of action shots from the "new" riders and any portrait shots they need from the six riders, before the Practice part of the day starts. As far as the "Meet the Riders," most fans know Stevie anyway and will only be missing out on one new rider (Simon), so it's not going to be the end of civilization as we know it. If that was Liam at the time, both Leon and Keiran Douglas came with him.

In this weeks SS, it has been confirmed that as from June 30th, the points limit will be increase from 38 to 40 points. This is a 5.26% increase, but it still allows another real 5.26% should teams wish to improve their team strength.
jenga
what team do you think will be the first to offload a rider during the actual season and more importantly , where are the riders going to come from ?
diamond@heart
I was impressed with Max Clegg yesterday, looked good and riding a number of different lines and looking fast. Jorgensen also looked good and seemed to be really attacking the track as was Bjerre. Phillips still has me concerned, still doesn't look comfortable around Brough but time will tell. Love the kevlars, especially the big white Diamond, just missing the word 'LADA' underneath in my opinion. 4
mauger65
Well least see where 2019 takes us .... certainly a more positive vibe to last year With such a points reduction difficult to really forecast how teams will do and to be fair who would have predicted Workington's success last year ! With 3 heat leaders we should be competitive. and we are always going to have a strong 1st reserve whether it be Clegg, Lambert or Wether's Also we should be in with a shout for plrc, pairs and fours ... unlike last year Lets hope the support increases (here and elsewhere) Number 1 wish for season - a good tight competitive league with little between top and bottom and a mad scramble for the playoffs (really my number wish is for us to win everything )
