How does Vissing's average fit? He should be on 5.81 from Somerset  last season?

Even with the low team average!!

Any rider who is currently in the Championship and has not ridden in the Premiership this season can come into the Premiership on his Champ average divided by 1.5. Thus eg Craig Cook came to King's Lynn on an average 0.6 lower than his finishing average for Belle Vue last season, even though his form is probably better.

On the other hand bringing a Premiership rider to the Championship, you multiply by 1.5, often making it prohibitive.

This of course is intended to reduce doubling up but it certainly won't achieve this. Nobody will ever abandon the Championship because they know it would be very hard to get back in.

Add in the joy that the multiplier will increase by 0.1 each season until it hits 2.0 at which point no doubling up riders will want to sign for Prem clubs at the start of the season because after first set of averages their 8 point Champ average would become a four in the Prem making them highly desirable and able to name their price. Thanks heavens this has been thought through.

Just as well that the average lifespan of any conversion/multiplier regulation is 1 year really!! :)

Thats one thing about a BSPA 5-year plan - it will always change by the second year - based on whats happened and what they never considered in the first place!!

Bewley!!!!!! If teams had took a chance on him, like Belle Vue, then he should & would have been doubling. Now, saddled with a 9.5-10 average, I would think we will never see him again in the CL but we do have Cook who shouldn't be there, losing about 10-14 points in 55 odd races & unbeaten around Glasgow, even by team mates, riding 30+ 1st places.

If they have an 8 point Champ average, they will probably be doubling up anyway.

So what average is Bellego on? Or perhaps more importantly what will his average be on 1st August?

5.84. Identical to Nick Morris, interestingly.

What, even after last night?

Dunno. That's just the figure on the BSPA website. Maybe not then.
