Who would head into the main body for Rasser to drop down?

For Tobi to be able to fit back in then we can't really sign anyone of any significant average or potential enough to climb too high? Or am I missing something obvious?

You have 1.42 to spare, Tobi's average is 0.68 higher than Bellego so you could strengthen someone by 0.74 and still swap Bellego for Tobi before 1st August. Not sure what date the cut off is for team changes though

I understand that part, so with Zach's average at 3.80 from 1st July we can only bring someone in up to 4.54. So nobody likely to push any of our top 5 to reserve come August

Scrub that if whoever you replaced Zach with is on an average above 4.51 come 23rd July and Rasmus still hasn't done 4 home and 4 away then Rasmus would indeed drop to reserve on 1st August

Cheers Wolfie, so we'd need someone slotting in between 4.51 and 4.54 (as assuming the replacement also won't have done 4 home and 4 away unless there's a shock signing coming from somewhere else).

I still don't see the point of having Rasmus at reserve while having someone in the top 5 who struggles to score.

So, Rasmus can replace him in one of his rides. What about the other 3 rides? If Rasmus was in the top 5 he could have all of those rides and the rider who struggles in the top 5 could score decently at reserve.

Agreed. My personal viewpoint is that I think with the options out there, we're better off looking to fill the gap left by Zach (plus any spare points to the limit) whilst waiting for Tobi to come back. So up to 4.54. Not a lot of fantastic options out there, but not many additional options by keeping Bellego, especially if Ryan Douglas is set to sign elsewhere as is rumoured.

See if Nielsen can give some food for thought this evening

In many meetings it is the reserves scores that are winning or losing the match.

Which is why we need someone at reserve who can win reserve races. It's useful to have a good reserve. For me, though, Rasmus is too good to be at reserve. A lot of his rides would be wasted on weaker opposition.

In 1 - 5 max score 12 points, unless there is a TR, at reserve max possible 21 points, If one of the 1-5 has an off night with Rassa at reserve he can have one of their rides, if in the 1 -5 he cannot, I know which option I would want.
