The Moo man leading it for the Tigers tonight :approve:

Monarchs win but can see Campton and Howarth (near enough or) outscoring the rest of the Sheffield team

(59 - 31)

That was a better meeting than the scoreline suggests. James Shanes and Kasper Andersen were very impressive with a bit of back-up from Todd. James took a heavy one in ht 1 Lap 1 bend 1 with all 4 back but never looked back thereafter. It was a bit drizzly which probably made the track a bit greasy with slower than normal times but they all got stuck in

Another full house for a happy Ritchie - deserved rider of the night.

Must mention, the boys from Bathgate Thistle CFC 2005s who were attending on the community initiative tonight were a lovely, well mannered group and welcome back any time. Also looked very smart in their club tracksuits.

Thankfully, despite the overcast weather, a decent sized crowd witnessed a really enjoyable meeting with good quality racing in most heats.

Really puzzled how Tigers have been so poor at home recently, as they never allowed the Monarchs to totally dominate proceedings.

Both James Shanes & Kasper Andersen were excellent and as it was their first ever visit to the Dale, disproved the bunk that this is a trick track that takes ages to master.

Shanes was a joy to watch with his ability to change lines and exploit any slight gaps that those in front of him offered. When interviewed, he impressed with his replies and said he enjoyed riding the circuit.

For such a tall lad, Kasper Andersen, after his first ride, really looked at home, and few riders manage to beat both Ricky Wells & Erik Riss on their first ever appearance at the Dale.

Had Charles Wright & Connor Mountain been available for the Tigers and also Howarth reproduced his recent double figure scores here,  then the result would have been much closer and could have gone either way.

For Monarchs, Richie Worrall scored an impeccable 15 pt max and that's three home meetings in a row that he has been unbeaten by a visiting opponent, so many thanks to Glasgow for making this possible:P

William Lawson showed some signs of his previous class performances and as his fitness and  hopefully his machinery improves, Monarchs might resolve the problem area of having two effective reserves.

Track was awful tonight was far too slick and easy to ride. None of the boys were happy with it at all.

It should be back to normal by next week if not we could struggle against a better side.

Let the build up begin. It will finish on Friday with something suggesting the monarchs are the underdogs. Let's just admit now the monarchs will win easily particularly as cookie won't be there cos of the grand prix

Times were 2/3 seconds slower than the last few weeks due to the slick conditions and bare track.

Harder opposition next week and the riders need the track to their liking next week.
