How to sack a rider

Personally, I'd invite the rider to some sort of meeting and discuss the matter. It'd seem the most professional way and also keep options open for the future. A phone call could go down as acceptable depending on how it comes across but a simple text message or publicising it before the rider is even informed is definitely the worst way

How should a Team Manager sack a Rider (a) Give him a call and thank him for Is services but inform him is services are no longer required or (b)

Text him ?

Strange ? Argos.....is there a reason for wanting to know?

Personally, I'd agree with 'shaggy' ! depending of the nature of the sacking ?

Thought Birmingham would do it the correct way, apparently not, “Bossman” text Dan Greenwood your sacked, after promising him he would be in the team until the end of the season when he signed for them, disgraceful

Depends on your relationship with the rider. Nine times out of ten is it professional and a meeting or a phone call at the very least is the correct way. But Dan G is his mate so they might text each other anyway and tbh it was pretty obvious that Hume would come back into the team when fit, he’s just happened to recover a lot faster than normal.
