Don`t know if it`s been mentioned in the 9 pages- 6 Danish teams in action on Wednesday 22nd August.

If that affects the Kings Lynn Danish rider I can see this double header being a double disaster if riders are also missing.

I see Esbjerg have a meeting Wednesday and Iversen is definitely in there squad remains to be seen if he rides for them or the Stars

As Danish rider his Danish commitments take priority. As they should.

I disagree with that,    the brain will take a preference from  previous experiences,   whether its good or bad would depend on how that experience were.     I'm a positive minded person,  but cannot turn a blind eye to the massive gamble and reality of running Double Headers  especially against the same team..    As a supporter to the end ,  I will pay my dues and go, supporting the team and hoping all goes well.

Such a massive gamble for both teams,   where one incident could destroy a season's work in a single night.

The brains negativity bias is a fact.

Sorry to mention Poole on this thread but they are missing their 2 Danes v Swindon on 22nd!!

6 teams riding in the Danish league.

6 Premiership teams also riding so guests will be impossible to find, no doubt Poole have already booked their guests too.

If rider's have a choice whether to be at King's Lynn or Denmark what would you choose? A possibility of 12 rides in 1 night or just 6 in Denmark.

It wouldn't surprise me if tight a$$ Buster charges £27 to get in and has Iversen missing. Cha Ching £££££££

One things for certain it will be the very last moment before they will announce the team if we are missing riders Wednesday night .

Sums it up for many :D

Hopefully people will give a thought to the fact that this year isn't last year, we are in a great position in the league, the team have worked together to get us where we are, if we are to keep our position in the league and get into the playoffs we need these to go ahead, hindsight is a wonderful thing but useless to us now, I the riders will be taking a 50% pay cut for the second meeting, a few of the old moany ones always want more for their money and for this meeting they have it, oh no moan again, too many races now, unbelievable!  The management think the first meeting will be over by 2015, half an hour after we used to start meetings so cue an interval and onto the second meeting, over by 10? That's 30 races in 3 hours.... I know there could be falls etc but equally there might not be!

And the whole time some will be singing "Always look on the bright side of life"

meanwhile in the the real world

Hindsight may be a wonderful thing but commonsense forward planning is soooooo much better!

We've had all this 'in the squad' stuff for Denmark already this season and it amounted to nothing....take away the speculation and the only actual information we have is that Iversen and Jorgensen wont be missing any more scheduled fixtures (not sure about MPT off the top of my head) and that's what we have to go by until anything different is said. If riders are missing I'll be at the front of the queue to have a moan.

A very very easy way to clear all uncertainty up on the line up but this is speedway so I’m sure the club will keep everyone guessing as per usual.

I expect there will be a press release on Tuesday as there normally is. Sports clubs shouldn't have to comment on speculation every time some crops up, football clubs don't and nor should speedway promotions.

One big main difference there is footballers don’t play in multiple leagues- whereas speedway riders do ride in multiple leagues .

Iversen definitely missing.

IVERSEN TO MISS WOLVES DOUBLE-HEADER
Tru Plant Stars re-group as Esbjerg pull rank and recall Niels Kristian Iversen ahead of next weeks double-header against Wolves.
The Tru Plant Stars race Wolves twice in one evening next Wednesday 22nd August, at the Adrian Flux Arena.
A double victory on Wednesday should see the Stars go to the top of the Premiership table and further strengthen their chances for the outright league title .
With the cut-off date for the league to finish being the 10th September, matches become even more critical at this end of the season.
The team were already well advanced in their preparations for Wednesday but losing Niels has required a re-set in strategy. The Stars had named an 8 man squad (number 8 being a reserve) with Josh Bailey coming in at number 8.
The management are currently evaluating the possible options of a replacement for Niels but, due to other fixtures, are limited to selecting a guest rider from Belle Vue who are a strong rival for a play-off position. The other alternative is to race with one less rider and use the rider replacement rule on the evening.
The promotion will announce their plans early next week.
Dale Allitt - team manager and Co-Promoter - “Esbjerg had previously agreed that we would have Niels through to the end of our campaign and so you can imagine my disappointment and frustration when they changed the parameters. Niels will be back with us for the home meeting against Poole on the 29th August”.

Why was Bailey already scheduled as number 8, will anyone else be missing?
