King's Lynn v Wolves 22/08/18 DOUBLE HEADER

The reason we're not getting fixtures in is because the club are avoiding clashes with Denmark. Nothing to do with FRN as other clubs are not having the same fixture pile up.

The management are to blame fully for the situation, even without FRN last season we had the farce of 2 panic double headers in 2017.

They chose to use Danish rider's, reap what you sow.

That's what Mon/Thurs FIM supported FRN was to avoid Daniel wasn't it?

Notice how Swindon have always been ahead on fixtures rode.probably because they have had 3 options every week.If Poole didn't ride that Thursday they would either had to agree to ride on that Wednesday or do a double header to get their fixtures in.Somerset need either a double header or an off night race to complete. If Wolves don't have this double header against Lynn they wouldn't fulfill their fixtures on a FRN.And it's tight for Belle Vue,had it not been for the bank holiday coming up where they can ride Wolves home and away they too would have to ride on an off night. So i think FRN do have an impact.

Having said all that,Lynn should have arranged some fixtures on  Thursday night to avoid any clashes with Denmark.

Yes it was but after the AGM, knowing Denmark takes priority on Wednesday's we went on to continue signing more Dane's.

When Rose left we then signed another one.

So, this current situation is the fault of the management team. No if or buts, it's their fault.

Then came the "fake news" that there will be no more clashes with Denmark. Who gives any British club the right to dictate that to Denmark.

This really is a reap what you sow situation and I don't feel sorry for the management at all.

The only people I feel for are the fans who have been mugged again. Yet still some can't bring themselves to admit the club is at fault for this whole sorry mess.

This has been going on for a few seasons now at King's Lynn and no doubt come October we'll get another.......

"The club would like to share our sincere apologies to all our supporter for the way the season ended. I can categorically place on record we're working behind the scenes to make sure these unusual event never happen again. We hope you can forgive and move on with us into the new 2019 season." blah blah blah blah.

It's the same old same old.

No doubt come 2019 I'll be told to get over it 'again'.

Can't fault any of that but given the number of disgruntled fans there will probably also be a "use it or lose it " plea.

I’ve said all along that the club were caught with their pants down when it was voted Wednesdays and not Thursdays, the team was sorted with MPT on standby and no realistic alternative for Iversen. IMO we would be bottom of the league with no Danish riders whereas we are in with a shout of top four with them. That’s not to say that the season hasn’t been a complete mess because it has. Riders obviously not keen to do too many Mondays with all the travelling that involved and agreements reached with Danish clubs seem not to have been honoured. All a bit shambolic but I wonder how appeased people would be if Lynn won the play Offs?

Oh Yes! It won't be long ( just after the doubleheader V Wolves ) that we will get the "use it or lose it" plea. Sadly either the KLS management has a problem with short-term memory or it's a working strategy to put on doubleheaders V the same team. Must save lots of money. If you can get the crowd over 1,000 that is. As for NKI missing ( and who else we have yet to see), there is nothing positive that can be said. And yes again, if you are going in 2019 "get over it" - again.

Hmmmm, christ sakes, thanks Denmark, no point getting a BV rider in, who would want to be a British Speedway Premiership manager, hope Dale wants to continue next season, this is no walk in the park eh!!

for what? picking their own rider to ride in their own league, which has priority?? Blame the real people for screwing British Speedway

"Thanks Denmark"?

For what?

For running their League properly?

Or maybe is it for not short changing their fans through the implementation of a poorly planned, ludicrous, unfit for purpose operating model, which delivers missing riders week in and week out?

Or is it just because they have the temerity and audacity to actually run on their prioritised night (as was clearly agreed by the BSPA, and Swedish and Polish Leagues)?

I would suggest you should look to blame a few of those much nearer to home than Denmark for the nonsense that infests British Speedway..

spot on..

Christ know why they thought Wednesday's were the better option... useless idiots ruining British Speedway, slowly but definitely surely

We'd been told that Niels was available for all remaining Lynn fixtures.... his Danish team have gone back on their word! MPT is definitely racing for Lynn BTW..

Where Buster went wrong was not agreeing that we could use Thursday like Swindon and Poole have....

Poole didn't agree it did they? Didn't they just go ahead and do it regardless? its no good anyway as the riders would have to ride for their inferior 2nd league teams because of the tail wagging the dog rules wise.

Bit of over reacting negativity wise though. guest wise etc this season all round has been much better.

Its a good time to be a lynn fan. Im enjoying speedway more than i have in many years. Come onto the forum and its full of bs. Don't go! Simple! Lots of people clearly are enjoying it because they keep turning up each week and I'm pretty sure your not missed if you don't! I really don't get the over self importance? Its a rubbish situation but lets make the most we can out of it. At least we know in advance so we can make our choices on attending with that in mind.

Too right Danny, the club has a good feel about it, I truly believe the riders are giving 100% for the cause, what more can we ask, at the end of the day it’s about our team and us supporters, we chose to go watch the team or we don’t, we accept what’s going down or we don’t, we have two chances ..... I choose GO :D

Exactly! And there are people who choose not too. And that’s fair enough. Each to their own but I just wish they would stop bleating on about it as if anybody cares. Wednesday could still be 2 very good speedway meetings and 6 points. Could also be a train wreck but such is life. Such is speedway.

You are right about the bleating from certain posters. The ones normally moaning don't actually go anymore. And those people keep pretending if they think that speedway is getting better they will return.

Call it bleating moaning being negative and to the other extreme those who wear blinkers and see no wrong call whatever you want but everyone has a right to an opinion including the ones that have walked away - and yes I’m so hopeful of things improving to a point I want to attend again but so far I chose to keep my hard earned cash in my pocket- how can anyone defend a 7team league and struggle to fit fixtures in to a point that we have to run double headers against the same bloody team on the same night how can any one defend that ? To me that total miss management weeks with no racing in the best summer weather for years and now it’s come to this .

You would make a good promoter.   Ever thought that if the VFM was improved that crowds would increase?

its not rocket science - make it a consistently enjoyable value for money evening of speedway and not continually diluting the product (and raising prices) and I am sure that those who no longer go (including myself) will look to return!

:rofl::rofl:

That's right, let's have a forum where everyone can tickle each others butt hole

One thing for sure is I fully accept other people's opinions, what isn't acceptable is dictatorship that we must talk all things rosy.

What I don't like is seeing is the management taking no responsibility for the issues they find themselves in. They take to social media and issue press releases blaming all and sundry for all issues. They lap up all the kiss a$$ responses etc etc.

Yes I have been a whining old biatch for about 18 months but that's because I DO care. I was a very positive supporter for over 30 years. When seeing the management being irresponsible and in denial of issues being there own fault I'm gonna say so.

The club and British Speedway as a whole is on a very slippery slope, it's time for those with there heads buried in the sand to realise the problems the sport is in.

The more people just continue on the quicker Speedway in this country dies.

Yes and if you don’t suck up to them on social media and say what they want to hear your blocked straight away - what awful way to treat paying customers- basically your allowed an opinion as long as it’s the same as the clubs .

Yes, I too have been giving my honest forthright opinion for the last three years because I too DO care. I care very much about KLS. I have been a supporter since the first time the track opened to the public and every year since. When seeing the management being irresponsible and in denial of issues being there own fault I'm going to pipe up too! Like it or not - other posters and the KLS management.

Not all the ones offering criticism fail to go. I attend when I choose to and don't when I choose not too. Free will and all that. I don't go to the cinema if I don't like what they are showing either. They never say use it or lose it.
