Newcastle vs Workington SGB Championship Sun 12 Aug @6.30pm

Simple answer is you should be allowed a guest for any missing rider. I know there will be arguments when people will say that teams are using a facility to strengthen up but as long as it is a rider with the same average then so be it. The public pay to see 7 riders not the crap that will be served up tomorrow.

On the flip side of that, some of the paying public want to see continuity within a team, not just any Tom, Dick or Harry turning up. I agree it could be acceptable if riders are injured etc. but not if a rider just fancies riding elsewhere whenever it suits.

Last week people were on about how good Rene was by riding and how bad Claus was by not. At least Claus didn't make Glasgow race with a conference league rider.  That's at least twice Workington have been left short handed by them racing in Poland (the fours).

Surely the SCB can make a stand regarding Dan. I remember a few years ago David Bellego was suspended by his federation when he was going to race for Berwick instead of France.  They should be able to say the same to Poland (he races in Britain or we suspend his licence).

A wonder when the original fixture was listed ?

It's been listed since the day the fixtures were published. It most certainly is NOT a re-arranged fixture. To say 2 or 3 days beforehand that two riders can't appear due to another country, which isn't there "home" nation, having priority is utter B*ll*cks. Newcastle would appear to have expected them to ride if the press releases are anything to go by. They need to be fined and Newcastle compensated as it is bound to affect the gate.

Why would they say it was re-arranged, if they knew it wasn't ?,,, it all smells a bit fishy ;)

Its time for "gb" to go it alone the international rule where a home town lad cant ride for his local team who he signed for first so he can ride in poland is why me and thousands more are fed up with this sport ,would be nice to hear if mr godfrey is making as much  noise about this as he did our fridays  night fixtures !
