Steve Shovlar
Think those bv fans might change their mind after tonight.
OveFundinFan
So a Championship (Ipswich) meeting takes preference over a Premiership (BV) meeting. What a laugh. Can you imagine a Man Utd first team player not turning out because hes playing for Watford. Couldn't make it up. Some VERY serious sorting out to be done to get speedway out of the dung.
A ORLOV
From tonights meeting we will need to be careful of Dimitri Berge at reserve for BV who scored 8 and 7 when he rode for Swindon.
Steve Shovlar
Belle Vue know they have to win tomorrow at Swindon. They have to be all guns blazing. Cook needs to continue where he left off tonight and..... oh hang on a minute..........
Aces51
It really is ludicrous that the rules dictate that Cook rides for Glasgow, who he only signed for a few weeks ago. We have to hope that Kurtz puts in one of his good performances and not a repeat of his form last Monday. The other factor will be the track. Somerset is a race track, which allowed our riders to race and pass whereas reports indicate that Swindon has been poor with processional racing.

Can honestly say you would be clutching at straws between Swindon & Stoke for the worst track in the UK!!

Steve Shovlar
Thing with Blunsdon is that the Swindon riders know how it rides and are very hard to beat out of the gate around there. Time and again they are set up to lead going into the first bend, leaving the opposition for dead. Then it’s basically a spread out four laps. If you can gate them you have a chance, but that’s not easy to acheive.
hagonshocker
Early heats are generally spread out but ridiculous to suggest this happens from start to finish of every meeting...just lazy criticism....yes it's seen better days but still not as bad as everyone makes out
krompa
If Belle Vue wins tomorrow it will make race for the playoffs wide open with 3 clubs chasing 4th spot: Swindon, Belle Vue and Wolves.

Interesting to see what he scores. He banged in 14 from 5 last time for Poole.. But was poor at Wimborne Road the other night. I think the Robins have this 52-38 ish, without Cook and Riss. Bagpuss
Its a difficult one, Cook rode for Belle Vue before Glasgow but this fixture is rearranged while the Glasgow one isn't. Both could argue he should be riding for them. The bottom line is that if FRN had been arranged properly in the winter and not been turned into a dog's breakfast then PL fixtures wouldn't clash with any other meetings either over here or abroad.
Grachan
Was this re-arranged before Cook signed for Glasgow? If it was he should be riding for Belle Vue. If not he should be riding for Glasgow. Presumably this is what is being followed?
Steve Shovlar
Heavy rain this morning. Track could be quite heavy.
Fromafar
Interesting to how good a meeting Kurtz has is he really wanting to help BV get into top4.
Ovalman
Swindon's top 5 will be too strong for the Mancs, hopefully, and Zach is on fire. Will go 50-40, with no Cook or Riss. Berge is a danger. Edited August 16, 2018 by auntie doris

IainB
How long has Cook been an Ace? How long has Cook been a Tiger? Who owns Cooks contract?

Cook said last night at Somerset that he was riding for Glasgow because the Swindon match had been re-arranged.
