PHILIPRISING
LIKED and admired him. Could have a blazing row and the next minute sit down for a cup of tea with Bob and his wife Margaret. Speedway owes the Dugard family a massive debt, not least because of Bob. 7

cityrebel
RIP Bob, a member of my beloved Wimbledon dons when I was a kid. I enjoyed the three years at white city in the 1970's, even though there was not many of us. I've no doubt that Eastbourne Speedway would have shut years ago if it wasn't for Bob. Thanks for the memories.
25yearfan
Bob Dugard made a massive contribution to speedway over the years like the Dugard family overall!  Without him speedway would of finished at Eastbourne a long time ago!

Phlipphlopp
A great loss , speedway guy through and through. Often used to jump on the County Ground tractor back in the day and do 360's with the grader. Most def Mr Eastbourne speedway. Condolences to his family and friends. Steve Shovlar
Very sad news to read. Bob on his tractor trying to get the track set up just right for his guys. If there was a broken tape or unsatisfactory start he was out on it. A real charactor. R.I.P. Bob.

Poole v Eastbourne, that was a decent rivalry. Sadly missed.
