How come this is on a Thursday?

Because its a cancelled meeting being slotted in on a day of convenience for both clubs. Rye were due on Wednesday but as Leicester are riding at Swindon tomorrow Thursday was a good option, especially with a big crowd expected this time of year. Win win all round.

Let's hope Leicester can be a little more competitive on Thursday evening than last night at Wolverhampton nothing worse than a one sided speedway meeting :t:

So Leicester have booked David Bellego as a guest for the missing 2nd string Charles Wright (who is 4th in the Lions averages)!!

How does that work exactly?

Because you can have a guest for someone who is 4th or 5th in the averages if they are D/U   ( Wright is at Sheffield ), but not if they are injured , then it must be R/R.

Aah another rule change that I must have missed. Thanks. Should make the meeting a bit more competitive.

Because of the fixed race nights it's hardly happened this season. Doubt it will make it much more competitive, Poole make just make 60pts now instead of 62!

Bellego can go very well but not sure pairing him with Hans is necessarily the 'Wright' solution?!

UPDATE: Apologies I saw the alphabetical 1-7 (less the Auty guest) and thought it was the riding order?!

Wright is a 2nd string on doubling up/down duty so the Lions get a guest (Bellego).

Auty is a reserve and will be replaced by someone (Starke or Allen - depending on the source of the info?) with the same or lower average.

Starke in for Auty?!  Or maybe Jake Allen?

This severely weakens the Lions. What should have been almost certainly a fairly routine away win has now turned into one of Poole’s few home bankers. Poole have always been a lucky team.
