Best hope is a point but can’t see it happening to be honest - their support riders to top boys will make ours look silly imo
Baldyman
I know you are right, but just trying to put some positive spin on it, and i do like to have a different opinion to everyone else How's this for an outlandish prediction.....Harvey to score 2 points. marko
Depends on Zach and Kyle, Zach has been very average at best when he has actually turned up for us lately whilst Kyle seems to be struggling due to lack of racing, all things being equal it would normally be a comfortable home win. No idea if the stadium is being used during the day but they will need to flood the track before hand, I wouldn't think about running junior races as they would be trying to race on a very wet track, probably too dangerous for their level of ability, of course it would be nice to give them the extra laps but it should never be at the expense of what people pay to come and watch and the track will require of a lot of careful detailing, if it starts dry then your down to the base in no time, and then your pretty much knackered. No mistake about it, its going to be a battle from now on in, to hold what support we have, every meeting has got to be on a good par or fans will walk away thinking, what's the point, it will probably close at the end of the season anyway, any vibe that the club is simply running down the clock even if they are not, would spell disaster for the already fairly poor crowd numbers. Icicle
Would be nice to "do the Double" but...unlikely though one can hope.....

I hope youre right Baldy but a point (team or Wally) would be more than could be rightly expected With Morris perhaps still a bit 2nd hand and Kyle still looking a bit tentative we could see this as a bit of an opportunity but I would be surprised big time if we win

Badge
When I think about lakeside, it reminds me of Kim J. sitting on his bike in pits saying, "I don't know what it is about this track, but I just don't like it" He never could ride it. marko
It's certainly boring and predictable tonight, Nicholls had a good go in one heat and nearly caught Lawson after he tricked him off the white line

Seems like we had a few Janssons tonight.... 4 riders (Riss Covatti Wallinger Garcia) scored 10 between them but beat an opposition rider once .... liam
Must of just been me then but I enjoyed the meeting and I thought their was plenty of passing. Looked to be a very good crowd and they even had the fans back on the stock car track. Some encouraging words from Cook regarding the clubs future so fingers crossed what he said they are trying to do comes off.
marko
The racing did improve towards the end but most of the passing there was, was because riders drifted off the inside, Ben Morley showed exactly how it should be ridden when its like this, rider of the night for me. waco
A good crowd saw an excellent nights racing,,Morris back to his best ..Lawson somewhat unlucky not to score his usual,,Solid from Ellis,,some battling passes from Morley and Zach..Bowtell improving especially when nursed round by Morley for a win in heat 2 ...,,Newman is looking a little short of regular racing but chipped in with 4 points.....For the Witches Nichols battled hard for his 13 points but little back up except for Schlein 10 points ..Score 52 -37 ...Plus some encouraging words on the future from Jon Cook ...we will just have to wait and see what that will be,,,Fingers crossed........

Bowtell Covatti tried his nuts off to be fair, but there was nothing there for him to hook up with on lines he was attempting to ride, if he could have stuck his front wheel to the white line he probably would have doubled his points but its not his way of riding. marko
11 of the 15 races were pretty much from the gate and at least nine were stone wall from the gate not even a hint of a pass being possible, if people want to call that entertaining fair enough, hopefully some cooler conditions next week and a bit more grip so there is more than one racing line. If that had been on BT Sport, this meeting would be getting Hammered right now, (pun not intended)
