Newcastle v Workington Knock out Cup.8 July 6.30pm

Recommended Posts

It's ironic that Workington have twice been unable to get a suitable guest but it's them who have been told to cancel fixtures. Nothing at all against Newcastle but in the present situation I'm wondering how a team can ride on Sunday with the number of riders riding in Poland, rider availability? They get lower crowds on Mondays I believe.  I said years ago about doubling up and rider availability, there was a lot of replies saying there was plenty riders ready to step up.  I've just seen that no Championship riders were in Poland today, ok but not always the case.

Fantastic result for the Comets, Rasmus always looked capable and now Dan is scoring well for us too. Congrats to all, before the season started people were saying "Who'll win races for Workington?" Mmm

Superb effort and what a great result for us, certainly didn't expect that tonight considering how hamstrung we were and how well Newcastle have been doing lately, but still, fair play to all the lads who turned out that was impressive, a big well done!! :t:

Should of been more as couldn’t understand why your manager replaced Josh Embleton in heat 11 with Kyle Bickley when he could of used the then unbeaten Rasmus Jensen who ended up only having 6 rides

Pretty much in control at that point,it's all about giving young Bickley track time, and boost his confidence, and if and when he does click things will only get better

Well done to Workington fully deserved their win, it was great to see Rene back at brough and also the progression of Bewley.

As for us just beaten from the tapes in most races and had to fight from the back in most races... apart from one man who wins 3 races and then might as well of packed his stuff away. The management should not accept that (He just gives up in first lap and its a joke!) when the other riders are trying everything in every race but just not good enough tonight.

Exactly what was said with the crowd I was standing with.... only the words pathetic and disgrace to the club were used
