Lukas
Can't believe we are going to Glasgow with r/r, no Osterguard and M.B Anderson guesting...why not just hand them the win instead. Edited June 7, 2018 by Lukas
SharpenRake
Thankfully a Friday evening meeting, start time 7.30pm, so hopefully dust won't be a problem. Looking forward to clashes between Harris and Nicholls should be worth the admission money on there own.

MD
Or does it? Ostergaard was good at Ashfield last year but prior to that was pretty ropey. It hard to predict just what he'd be like.

Should be a couple of interesting and entertaining meetings, and I just hope that the Tigers come out on top in both.

MD
How long can this continue? There is no place in a struggling team and Sarjeant scoring 1 from 4, only beating the pointless Bacon in ht2 is pathetic. On the truck at the end he was sitting down cross armed when his team mates were all standing taking the plaudits. The boy looks demoralised and rides like it, its time to end the suffering for everyone. Simon Lambert showed us what a free scoring reserve can do, again. Had PB had Kennett in place they would have walked us, such is our fragility. Harris's bike problems again reared their head when leading ht4 gifting Lambert the win and was visibly slowing on the last lap of ht15 before packing up on the warm down lap. Nicholls was excellent, backed up by Lambert and the wild BWD, who appears to be an accident waiting to happen. Can only see a bit of a pumping on Sunday.

He’s probably more dejected reading the comments on here and on the Glasgow fb Page. He’s struggling for pace that’s obvious to see but comparing him against other reserves that have an average of over 1.5pts more is a bit like comparing apples and oranges. We’ve come up against a very high averaged reserve in our last few meetings - some over 5 points! Our team is top heavy and when our top 2 don’t score double figures with solid backup from the middle order then it puts us under severe pressure. I’m not saying JS is blameless but expecting him to outscore visiting reserves each week is unrealistic against more balanced teams.

Agreed, James and Jack are always going to struggle against 5 point reserves and they are totally dejected when they dont score points. If your were going to replace James, it would have to be with someone that has a similar average and what would be the point in that, we know that he can do better, he is a confidence rider and getting pulled back even when he makes a perfect start doesnt give the lad a chance to build his confidence. He beats himself up enough when he doesnt score, without seeing all the negative posts on facebook and forums.
