Heavy rain and thunder in Blantyre.

Heavy rain and thunder is forecast for the central belt it might hit Ashfield it might not. A few years ago we had a big black cloud over Ashfield some afternoons and the rest of the Glasgow area was dry. we just have to hope the rain misses Ashfield or perhaps hits it for an hour to give it a soaking and the temperature will do the rest, its getting hot!

Did Scunny actually use a tac sub ride as Updates said Allen came in as one in heat 5, but he was eligible for R/R then anyway?

Also once IRR came into play, I  can’t see the logic of using Gino in heat 9 or Phillips in heat 14.

Yes to Jake It gave flexibility on him being able to take the RR ride later if needed.

The Phillips one confused us as well, although they announced early on that Manzares had a plane to catch from Stansted at 7am and with the meeting delayed a fair bit he may have been struggling to get away in time if he’d ridden heat 14.

His van was down and ready to go before heat 15.

Any choice of providing the content from Gerry or summarising for those who did attend?

Didn't hear start of it but think jist was that in widening the track they had to dig into the old base and with the weather they haven't been able to get it right. He thanked track staff and everyone who helped particularly over the last week including Doc Bridgett and he got a round of applause from the crowd. Theres and interview with Chris Harris on Glasgow facebook worth watching were he also touches on the track problems

Well done Steve.

Just to add, Rob Godfrey was full of praise of the commitment put in by Gino last night: http://scunthorpescorpions.co/?p=8627

really beating himself up about his score, despite winning heat 2 he felt he should have contributed so much more.

just worried now what's happened tonight

Meant to say earlier but Workington was on my mind some really good racing after the first few heats with Aaron, auty and Allen giving it a go. Track still not perfect but getting there. We have a decent run of Friday matches coming up and with last nights draw things are looking up
