Rye House Vs Kings Lynn Stars Mon 28/ 05/2018

Never an easy place to travel and come away with any reward.     A specific track that gives massive home advantage,  Without Niels this will be much harder.   I think we would do exceptionally well to get even a point

There is not a massive home advantage at Rye. Hasn't been for the last five or so years.

You have the track record holder in your side, Jorgensen and MPT go well at Rye. Proctor and Kerr aren't that shabby there either and both in very good form. If you don't get at least a point against this Rye side then you've under performed.

I disagree - the Rye House team has been built to be strong at home.  Sadly, they do not seem to do so well away from the tight Hoddeson track.

Look on Twitter ( not that I can or do ) but that is where team news seems to break. Media priorities? Critical news, who is in for NKI

EDP newspaper said it's r/r at Rye House which will i feel weaken the team. Why was it not on the Stars website I wonder, all off to the GP perhaps.

We have done well on the road this season and should be going to Rye looking for a point as a minimum. After two horrendous performances there last year we are owed a good showing especially live on telly.

Shame we couldn’t find a guest but I assume that most, if not all the other clubs are in action?

Yes all clubs are riding Monday so this is why we have to go R/R

Not the case. The team was built to have three strong heatleaders home and away, a decent engine room, a strong reserve and Clegg on a "bargain" average.

In reality Harris is on the wane, KK is hit and miss. Nicholls is doing what is expected of him. Kennett is struggling, Summers is ok. Robbo got injured and NBJ has been injured too now on a lower average making guests harder to come by and Clegg's "bargain" average is actually a true reflection of his performances.

The home track advantage at Rye went years ago with the adverse camber on the second bend. Gone are the days of Rye track specialists such as Neath, Boxall and Bowen who could show almost anyone a clean pair of heels at Rye. Kennett is the last of that breed and as I've said above he's not performing. Other than that we have no track specialists in the side. It is just a small track these days that almost any rider can get to grips with.

Its not just away we are struggling. Our home victories have been by narrow margins except last night which after heat 10 was over as a two-legged tie anyway so I wouldn't read anything into the final score.

I remember last year when Kennett just about beat us on his own.   We were a million miles away from getting even close.    But fortunately the whole team ethics has changed.  We have got rid of those Prima Donors,    and the team is now made up of  keen,  focused, and enthusiastic riders, all willing  to fight for the cause.   Although we will be considerably weakened by the absence of Niels,  especially in those important heats  13 & 15,    it is the first time for some years i feel confident  that we can go anywhere and be in contention.    Gone are the days when we made up the numbers, this year we know we will go there to fight.   What we come away with depends on many things.    Rye House's top four of CH, SN, KK and EK  are all experience riders and are more than capable of winning races.  But they will all need to score points.

In the end, I think the Niels factor will be too much to overcome, and we will  have to be satisfied with an away point, but you can rest assured  the Stars will battle to win...   :t:

If NKI can ride in the GP's, then he can ride at Rye on Monday. If not, only a NL guest facility should be available. It makes a mockery of the sport when riders can pick and choose their meetings and clubs still get a facility for them. Surely if NKI is only having physio, then he can wait another day.

I agree, physio is rather different to surgery. At the same time it does depend also on the type of physio as it can be debilitating after a session or 2
