I here all the talk re lack of funds , how do teams like Workington & Scunthorpe who get lower crowds manage to build teams of strength?

Scunthorpe are subsidised by Stockcars, Workington seem to have good sponsors. It's interesting that Newcastle and Berwick seem to be getting more out of their teams than Redcar.......Unless Redcar are going to surprise everyone at Brough Park.

Scunthorpe got a big payoff from their team sponsor to help build their side this year and as forĀ Workington, they canā€™t afford to pay riders what they agreed on, itā€™s only a matter of time till Workington closeĀ

haven't you got a track record in being indiscrete? Rather inflammatory statement.

That's a fair question in regards to Workington.

Quite a statement to make, unless you are absolutely certain of what you are saying.

Itā€™s public knowledge that every season they threaten to close if the crowds donā€™t increase, Iā€™ve notĀ said anything that is a secret, if they could afford the riders they have, they wouldnā€™t threaten to close due to lack of moneyĀ

If i were you i would find an air raid shelter for the incoming.

Are you basing your allegations on fact or is it just your opinion.

My so calledĀ allegation isĀ based on a post Laura Morgan put on Facebook saying that if crowd levels didnā€™t increaseĀ then Workington Speedways future could be in doubt, I donā€™t know what you are making out Iā€™m saying, Iā€™ve not said anything about them doing anything wrong,Ā Iā€™m just saying that paying for decent riders wont beĀ helping their situation,Ā redcarĀ havenā€™t got a lot of money as the promotion haveĀ said quite clearly on multiple occasions and our team this year shows that as they have stated we were on a budget, my point isĀ I donā€™t know how Workington can afford the teams that they put out, when they were sooĀ close to closing according to their promoter, if they werenā€™t struggling to afford wages,Ā theyĀ wouldnt threaten to close,Ā maybe they have decent sponsors subsiding it, who knows,Ā Iā€™m not accusing them of anything, I think people have misunderstood what I was trying to sayĀ

I don't think people, are misunderstanding, what you were saying. I think you are backtracking and changing your tune.

I think anyone who has been to Workington in the last few seasons and seen their gate levels will know their existence is precarious. Its pretty much common knowledge that they survive because of funds pumped in by the promotion.Ā

Having said that, I suspect they are anything but alone in that.

what utter rubbish

Oh but Montie, don't you know he is in on all deals, and what he knows he tells. Spy in the camp for his own self promotion.
