It must be the only track in Uk that making the gate must be your worst nightmare going up the back straight 1st time round ,wondering where the opposition are going to come from.:D

That's why Bewley is always last out of the gate... He can do the chasing rather than the wondering :D

Lambert was pure class and a cut above the rest of the field.

The thing that Lambert has done other than other young Brits is that he has rode on the continent from a very young age.

Moving Team GB forward we need to get our young riders not only riding in this country but on the continent as well.

Well done Robert Lambert.

Bewley debuted in Poland yesterday... 13+2 from his 5 rides ;)

Brilliant meeting, absolutely fantastic performance from Lambert. A deserved victory and he will mix it in Cardiff for sure. Our little pocket rocket will be a winner of this one day. The 2 years Lambert has on him was the difference tonight. Excellent performances also from Garrity (he was sooo pumped up from the start) and Howarth (best he's ridden the NSS). One interesting fact from tonight... The semi final was the same 4 riders as heat 8! :o:D

Don't know what happened but it seems anyone who set it to record on Sky it didn't record, BT must have changed the programme information at last minute.

It certainly did record or at least it did (the HD version) on my SkyQ box, started watching the recording an hour after it started recording.  Programmed in to record several days ago.

It was one of the best speedway meetings on TV I have seen for some time, loads of overtaking and exciting racing. Speedway at its best.

Couldn't agree more mike1944, we've been treated to some fantastic speedway on TV this past week.

Robert Lambert & Dan Bewley...WOW, WOW, WOW!!
Very good performances from a number of riders last night, with for me, Jason Garrity and Scott Nicholls standing out too.

SEEN a few British Finals in my time but none as good as that. Racing at the NSS last night and Wroclaw over the weekend proved and confirmed that speedway can knock any other form of motorsport into a cocked hat.

When speedway is this good , it is very good,      but so can other motorsports.

Wouldn't it have been a travesty had Lambert not won last nights final.    Head and shoulders above the rest , and 4 points clear of his nearest rival,  any other winner would have been laughable.     This format of one Final Race makes the evening  a mockery in finding  the real winner.    If they persist in having a final race then let it be added to the scores they won in the heats....

Of course it can. But sadly only on tracks that suit the modern super fast bikes and when there is a lot at stake. But it was an excellent weekend of speedway RACING. All the riders involve deserve to take a bow ( and a few more quid ).

What a special meeting, and I am sure majority if not all the riders will remember that as a special meeting too. Hardly a race without some high form of excitement.

Well done to Lambert, a clean sheet all night on such a great race track has to be applauded. Bewley did well to pull it together, after 3 rides he looked like he wouldn’t make the top 6. What a turn around. Amazing.

A “well done” to Cookie too. He’s had a rough time just recently, signs last night he may have turned the corner and getting back to his former self. That will be good for GB racing future cause you need some maturity around.

It looks good for Steve Wirral too. Obviously tired last night after his injury, he will soon be in the mix.

and good to see the more mature riders in the mix, Scotty and Harris. Vital for the youngsters progress, all the experience they have to offer.

My final words got to Chris Morton and Dave Gordon. They had a dream and made it come true, many years of struggling but look at the result..... a fantastic racing track which must be one of the best in the world. Just think what fantastic races that track is going to give us in the future. Hats off to Morton and Gordon, amazing work guys.

Well done Robert, best rider in league, and to go unbeaten against the home riders.

Pity TaI wasn't there.

What was attendance?

An excellent meeting in every way.

Interestingly it did show the real value of having a final.

Under a five-ride top scorer wins method Robert was so far ahead that he wouldn't have needed his fifth ride. It would have been all over very early. Having the final kept the climax element alive to heat 22 and the semi also meant that ALL the races mattered for places as well. This contributed a lot to the excitement.

The track and riders were great but somethings get missed in the moment and it is worth noting that getting the racing formula right for big events is really crucial too.

While I have my reservations regarding a Final to decide the Champion it does make it better for the fans, what I would say though is that the Wildcard for Cardiff should not be decided on 1 race.We want the BEST British rider there if possible and it shouldn't be decided on  the 1 race.
