Superb performance from the Norfolk boy, so proud to be able to say that he grew up ten miles or so from where I live! Thoroughly deserved. Well done to Dan Bewley too, both fantastic talents who will be in the GP's one day.

I think he sounds like Scotty..... The future is brighter :approve:

Right result in the end  think  lambert needs to get a taste of a full gp think it s a year to early for bewley

just wished garrity could have finished 3 Rd  had  a bet on him at 100/1 lol

You would like to think they would give Lambert a wildcard for GP Challenge, but politics will play a part no doubt.

Great meeting and the right result.Would have been a travesty for Lambert to go through the card and then miss out in the final. Can't wait for Cardiff now to see him mix it(hopefully)with the best in the World.

Brilliant to see Bewley 2nd as well.As Shovlar said another rider or 2 to step up and we will have a World cup team to be afraid of.

Just need a multi-millionaire now to pump money in and make every track pretty much like Belle Vue's.That is an awesome track which every rider seems to enjoy.

It must be the only track in Uk that making the gate must be your worst nightmare going up the back straight 1st time round ,wondering where the opposition are going to come from.:D

reminds me of Leicester.

Best not to get carried away but with Lambert and Bewley, S Worrall and Cook, there is a nucleus there of real capabilty and potential...

Riders like Garrity, Howarth and Ellis too have the occasional 'good night' at a level that suggests if they could get consistency they too could develop into a higher bracket given their still quite young age..

Add possibly the best rider in the World to that mix and who knows, maybe the future could be much brighter than most think for British Speedway..?

As we see from all the Sports behind football in the pecking order, a successful National Team brings in the media coverage, (written, audio and visual), the readers, listeners and viewers, the fans at the event and, very importantly, the sponsors.

Maybe these lads now need some Test Matches at home and abroad to test their metal and improve them?

A great meeting for TV tonight, not only on track but off it too, some very good composed interviews from those who got asked the questions and the crowd level, whilst not what a meeting like this deserves, certainly looked 'enough' to come across positively on TV..

The sport came across very well tonight to any 'non fans' watching....

Deserved winner, the future of British speedway is going to be very bright in the 5 years with the Thompson Twins and Flint the next top class next on the block.

surprised nobody mentioned how much better Auty is compared to Howarth. Strangely quiet tonight. :lol:

Lambert was pure class and a cut above the rest of the field.

The thing that Lambert has done other than other young Brits is that he has rode on the continent from a very young age.

Moving Team GB forward we need to get our young riders not only riding in this country but on the continent as well.

Well done Robert Lambert.

He's been lambasted for it too. His parents even more !!  I  know little about Robert's set up. I'm really not interested in the whole world of a Speedway rider. I pay money to watch them,  (or did) .I've never felt the need to know everything about them. The last week has shown he is part of the future.

You're not allowed to say such things, British tracks have to be crap apparently.
See numerous conversations on various threads with people in denial about how good BV is and more tellingly how bad some (most?) of the others actually are.
Tsunami et al., will be along shortly to put you right.  ;-)
