He deserves a little better than just criticism. Very entertaining meeting with some cracking racing (shades of when STMP was one of my favourite tracks)and a close score line swinging backwards and forwards. My good friend PVM told me that Stewart was something special despite a poor start to the season and he was proved most definitely correct. Barker's problems are to do with shoddy equipment and we all know that, he is being paid number one rates and should be performing as such. Why does everyone think speedway is a charity? He is letting Redcar down by being unprofessional and coming to work with below par equipment.

Recurring theme this it is no coincidence he didn't last at Glasgow and releasead by Rye House , its a shame though as when he is on good machinery he is box office.

Sorry I missed you last night , I watched from the balcony at the bar . Stewart looks some prospect , as you say he had a slow start , just our luck to be down when he turns into Ivan Mauger lol . But seriously to be riding the way he did last night after only a month of our speedway , certainly augers well for the future . He was the difference last night .

Yep the team has been struggling so far this season but thats also got something to do with every away rider relishing the prospect of racing at Redcar. Last night as you say was Speedway right out of the top drawer.

I watched his first meeting at Peterborough and he beat Nichols in heat 1. Then in his 2nd he was on a 5-1 with Barker when he flipped coming out of the corner and suffered some internal damage. He then struggled for a few weeks with injury and his engines just were not performing. Sent them off to SWR before last weeks Julie Lewis meeting and I think we have all now seen what the lad is capable of. Could easily be in a heat leader role before long. Boothers
Jordan Stewart was remarkable last night. But please lets keep things in perspective. I'm pleased because I've been saying from day 1 when he wasn't scoring points that I'm watching a Speedway rider (and not some of the pretenders that we've seen here at Redcar in the past), safe, steady & professional. Let's not lumber him with the burden of "the next big thing'' though. Just let him ride! He'll be going to tracks he's never seen before all season long but if he continues to ride safe, steady and professional he'll do ok. Seems like a nice bloke too! Good luck Jordan.
Paulco
Hope none of you are planning on going up to ours by train , we're stuck at Darlington with no trains moving as someone has been hit by a train at Northallerton

Sarjeant is a 3 point rider, to expect him to outperform his average is looking delusional, even though thats the reason he was signed. When you look at what Stewart did last night, and BWD last weekend from reserve, you can see what our team is missing. Once again we are top heavy and when one of the main body arent on the money, the reserves cant step up. Ive plenty patience for Jack Thomas who has been thrown in the deep end and seems to improve week to week. The same cant be said for Sarjeant, with a third of the season gone, he appears to be regressing.

Got to agree with this thing is it shows on the updates last night as an exclusion and 4 retired heats. Were these Ef which is alarming or were these just giving up which is even more alarming, either way the fans who travelled were short changed.
MD
Barker again reminds us how he wasted his opportunity with Glasgow in 2016. Just awesome to watch tonight, in amongst some decent racing despite the scoreline. JT improvement clear to see and Lewis Kerr superb again. Sarjeant gets pass marks, just, will say no more.

Reading Reports - I don't think he passed anyone except possibly, but only possibly the Starting Marshal. .

Weeyin
Ben Barker is box office when he is in full flow, shame that he is inconsistent. That was what we were hoping for when we signed him in 2016.

lewy
When Ben gets his bikes dialled in he's one of the best riders at championship level and well capable of doing a job in premiership. Edited May 19, 2018 by lewy
Paulco
The return meeting in Glasgow was more of a straightforward home win , with the Bears more or less a one man band . Tigers were solid throughout , with Claus Vissing and young Jack Thomas the home men of the match candidates . Jack's beating of Jonas B Andersen and Theo Pijper was a very impressive and mature ride . As for the one man band , Barker really is box office when he's on it . His never say die attitude on the bike got him in amongst Tiger's heat leaders , and on occasion , Bear's team mates alike . As Matej Kus found out in heat 13 . But on track he's never a dull moment , shame we never got that in his short spell in the stripes .
highroad119
Matej Kus looked like he had every right to be miffed with ben barker with what looked like a borderline move....on his own rider. Enjoyable meeting with some decent races. New tracks an improvement.
