mickthemuppet
How much longer will the fixed night farce go on. It was originally to get GP riders back so that was a complete failure. How many teams are happy racing on a Monday and a Wednesday. End the fixed night's now or you could find out there wont be any teams left. Much better to let the clubs have their own choice of nights Monday is the worst night possible all through the history of Speedway so why revert to it now

It's a big problem either way but I can't see any changes happening until the season is over. Personally I would prefer one big league and any riders missing for continental league engagements only being replaceable by a NL rider, that way promoters might be a bit more careful about who they sign.
f-s-p
Only way GB can walk out from the ISL deal is to have enough British riders to fill the teams.

Steve Shovlar
Seems to be working just fine. Hardly any guests because of no fixture clashes. Never was designed to bring back GP riders.

Perhaps its about time the nails stopped being added and the sport as we know it has a proper burial Could then have a chance for resurrection Whilst the coffin continues to be paraded in a never ending procession whilst everyone wails in limbo that resurrection cant/wont happen

stevebrum
Hopefully the fixed nights are here to stay. Much better with fewer riders having to be in one league or the other.

Belle Vue have a had a bad start after moving but who else have these fixed race nights effected so badly ? plus we are only a few season into the season ..so to early to judge anyhow . The bottom line fans were moaning about riders missing etc so they done something about it .
Woz01
They should've stuck with the original plan of Monday's and Thursdays then what you seen yesterday wouldn't have happened. Britain has priority on Thursdays, use it.
IainB
From what I can see so far the FRN is doing exactly what it's designed to do and cut down on the fixture clashes between PL and CL, the concept is right but the execution is wrong. IMO what they should have done was choose 2 out of Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday and run on those days with the only exception of 1 televised meeting a week whenever BT Sport wanted to show it. All they had to do was steer clear of Tuesday and Wednesday for Sweden and Denmark. If that means waving goodbye to GP riders or riders racing in the Polish leagues then so be it. The time has come for riders to choose between 40 or so meetings in Britain or a handful elsewhere around Europe, it's time to put the sport first and not the riders
PHILIPRISING
BUT a handful in Poland pays more than 40 in GB many times over

Supporters have been haemorrhaging due to the stubbornness of the promoters and governing body and sticking with the nonsense of allowing riders to ride in as many leagues as they want and allow clubs to clash on who has priority. Supporters want to know that their 7 riders will be there for virtually every meeting. At least this way there is a good chance of retaining what is basically the hardcore support. Staying on the same road as before was doomed to failure. At least this way we have a chance to survive as a credible sport.
Daniel Smith
There's absolutely NO reason what so ever for Ipswich and Redcar to demand they run Thursday's. They own their stadiums and have nothing else going on in the week. They could easily transfer their night's to a Wednesday.
