Team managers are Stevie Worrall (Scorpions) and Roy Clarke (Diamonds).  One of the guests for the Diamonds is David Howe.

Why are them two team managers?

With Ludde 'back on it', Ash, Tero, Wilko and Howe all former Scorpions maybe having a point to prove and Matty just having a point to prove, we might just get a result.

Like we always do at Scunthorpe :) Not wanting to be a debbie downer, but we're never going to win (unless something out of the ordinary happens)

Not too sure on Newcastles manager but ours will be on holiday, friday was meant to be blank and this was rearranged

Like a lot of people, George E booked to go to the Polish GP a long time ago, with the Diamonds having a free weekend. We don't usually perform at Scunny, especially with their drowning the track tactics, but it could be interesting if the real David Howe turns up. Result could be interesting, but Scunny does have a decent team this year.

Seems odd that the Scorps are going to pay out for Steve Worrall to be DBS checked and for his Officials licence for one meeting however i guess it might provide a better value return via PR / team bonding

Maybe its a longer term aim ?

Job done... Scorpions progress.

Entertaining, but hardly a classic EWR meeting, track far too slick tonight, favoured gating and hugging the white line.. Scunny made to work for it, thanks to a brilliant effort from Tero Aarnio (and lets say a somewhat baffling decision from the referee!)

...  Aarnio, real star of the show (never rode like that for Scunny!).

... Rest of the Diamonds showed glimpses but made little impact.

... Garrity had an off night, outside line not working for him tonight.

... Auty, Allen, Nielsen and Manzares all return solid double figure scores.

... Manzares, how the hell did he get disqualified from heat 4. Morris on one wheel, heading to the fence completely wiped him out!

... Scorpions progress.. I guess Sheffield will get best 2nd place?

That had to be the worse refereeing decision I have ever seen.

Another thing regarding the track no one can help the weather so not sure Rob should be so hard on himself regarding the track these things happen. The Scorpions got the job won.

Next week should be an absolute cracker if tonight's scoreline from the Comets at Peterborough is anything to go by. Wonder if the Scorps will use R/R again or with Sheffield not having a meeting we may see Kyle Howarth at 1 for the Scorpions.

it will be Peterbro if they beat ipswich, they have 3 in the group so goes on match average...sheffield 13 divided by 6 against peterbro 9 divided by 4...so 2.16 against 2.25,  will the semis be out of a hat or best group winners pick their opposition?

Come on you Peterboro :)  ...  Although, sadly, I still think the Tiggers will make it through. Bring em on.

R/R got 11 from 12 tonight... it seems to be working for us... I wouldn't be against using that option next week, gives our lads an extra ride and chance to earn a tad more. You never know what you're gonna get from a guest.

The issue with R/R is it only needs someone to crash and withdraw and you’re in a mess. Even if someone is having a poor meeting, like Garrity did, against stronger opposition you can’t expect the other main 4 riders to score as strongly week in week out.
