damosuzuki
Weather is fine, be interesting to see Shane round Ashfield. Obv depends on RR or guest but I think 52-
MD
Shanes was up last year guesting for us. Looked a bit raw but definite prospect. Be interesting to see if Jack Smith has become more competent on small tracks. Lokking forward to this one.
Cue Ball
I fear for Sheffield, we struggled at Newcastle and only scraped a draw last night at home. 55-
KingIvan
Hope am wrong tonight but can only see a Big win for Glasgow...60-
spin king
Think we are in really fix tonight. Rider Replacement for Kyle Howarth will not reap the points that Kyle would have scored. If we can get past 32 points I think that we will have done well.
Andrew
Atleast Charles can have up to 7 rides, same with James so that might get us to 20,the rest might scrape a few points between them,64-26!
Moranboys
oh dear.not totally unexpected.good performance from charles again tonight.3 points from r/r.graversen 1 and todd 4 just about speaks for itself.think we need to get a replacement in asap for josh's much as i would like to see him back.we are definitely missing josh g,s scoring from last season but our biggest miss is undoubtably josh bates.unless something is sorted pronto it could turn out to be a very short season for us.how long is kyle likely to be missing as this is also another worry for us. MD
That was a decent meeting which Glasgow made heavy weather of in the opening 5 or 6 heats. Howarth would definitely have made it interesting! Charles Wright was superb and Bjerre started well but faded. Kurtz and Graversen were as they usually are. Hopefully Starke isnt injured, he got upended by Jack Smith, who frustratingly looked a different rider from last year when he couldnt get a third with half a lap start. SharpenRake
Enjoyed tonight. Took a few heats for us to get going but after that we looked good. Harris and Worrall seemed to have shaken off there bike problems and for Sheffield Wright was excellent. Main talking point heat 14, what was that all about? Hel'n'Back
Still early days for Sheffield, basically we haven't fielded our full 1-7 yet..

He'd done nothing wrong; he was in the correct gate with the correct helmet colour on. Then, despite the team being 20 points ahead with the match won, he's not given the 15m restart with an almost guaranteed minimum of 1 point for his pay packet. As you say, what was that all about?

Too many people overreacting after a couple of minor set-backs. When Josh and Kyle are fit we’ll be a match for anyone.

It was him who came out in the wrong helmet colour then tried to share the same gate as JT. Not for the first time communication between referee and start marshall was non existent which added to the chaos, something we still havent solved after many years. On a side note Sarjeant looked much more confident in the heat he appeared on a Worrall bike though has a frustrating habit of shaving off his speed coming out of turn four by over straightening rather than let the bike naturally run round. I would question why both riders were allowed to leave the pits with the same helmet colour rather than fine a rider, but I will agree with you it was shambolic (and just slightly comical). Refereeing standards have dropped alarmingly though do none of these buffoons read the rule book oh wait silly me of course they don't. I know, he should never have been allowed on track with the wrong colour but surely as a basic Sarjeant knows what gate he is going off when he departs the pits. Might be worth keeping some emergency helmet covers at the tapes in future!

This is the 3 time this season I've heard of his happening, personally I don't understand why it's allowed to happen team managers surely tell the rider which gate they're going off or the rider has it marked in his programme , and finally they should check before they put the helmet on

Yes shambolic but I'm not sure why your suggesting the referee had some part in this. Jack Thomas came out in correct blue helmet colour well on time and lined up at right gate, gate 2. Sarjeant came out late also with blue helmet colour. Someone runs across centre green, don't know who but wearing tigers colours so presumably a pit member of some sort and rips off jacks helmet cover and replaces it with a red one. al this with the clock ticking down to zero. Thomas wearing the red colour then gets told to move to gate 4 and sarjeant goes into gate 2. by now the 2minute clock has expired and the ref has no option to disqualify both as they had wrong helmet colours and in the wrong gate position. A pity jack is just a young lad as a more experienced rider would have told the guy changing his colour where to go. And to compound the farce Jack is the one that gets taken out of the race. So sarjeant makes mistake , pit staf make mistake in changing Jack's cover then team manager basically shafts jack. I hope the promotion/team manger/sarjeant or whoever compensates Jack because at least he would have earned something from the race by getting the third place point!
