No matter if it was pre arranged or not the maximum facility allowed should be NL guest. Can understand riding in your own country but this is Poland today I believe. Stronger monarchs team without him but reckon still a Glasgow win. We have won in the past when not expected so you never know. Good to have Glasgow on a Sunday afternoon just seems right. Judging by his UK form probably paid him to go to Poland today.!!!!!!!
Gazc
Wonder if we will take a leaf out the Monarchs book and ride under protest, now that would be ironic double standards yet again but only when it suits.
Bagpuss
Why on earth is it not an NL guest for Andersson?
Fromafar
Interesting both Worrell and Wells in Poland yesterday and both are a bit off the pace today, wonder where their priorities lie. His Polish form isn't great either by the looks of things as he has scored zero points today. Anyone fancy having a go at explaining why Edinburgh were granted R/R, as has already been mentioned this is not a re-arranged match so its difficult how this has been granted.

Worrall was pretty slow all afternoon, couldnt make a gate and almost got reeled in by Pickering in one heat. Track was totally different to what it would be on a Friday night but im not excusing him. Wells was actually ok, just a difficult ht13. Couple of decent races, ht14 being the pick as Vissing went from last to first to take it on the line from Riss M. Ht4 was from an 0131 perspective as Pickering passed Harris then Sarjeant on the last turn for a rather embarrassing 1-5. It'll now be a whole 5 weeks until we see Edinburgh again. Zzzzzzzzzzz. Bring on Sheffield a week on Friday.
Gazc
Easy enough victory today the Monarchs making it more respectable than it probaly should've been but that was more to us taking our foot off the gas rather than them upping it. Richie must be scratching his head at his home form he just looks down on power so far, but to compensate Claus has been sensational all in all a good weekends work. thetiger2799
Really enjoyed today's meeting. Some great riding from Pickering and Erik Riss for the Monarchs. But heat 14 from Claus is why you pay your money. Think the score probably makes the meeting look closer than it actually was. Don't know if we eased up, or Edinburgh just got going towards the end, or perhaps a bit of both, but a victory for Glasgow was never in doubt. Roll on Sheffield in 2 weeks
SharpenRake
Think a few people might have decided not to attend because of the rain in the Glasgow area. They missed a good meeting, as others have said and the track staff actually had to water the track. Also well done to them they had obviuously prepared the track for the forecast rain and there approach worked a treat. Pity we don't have a meeting next weekend but already looking forward to the visit of Sheffield.
Mr Blobby
Visit half of the meeting we were awful, 2nd half thought we performed pretty well, shame we can’t seem to get everyone going at the same time. Last time out at Ashfield josh was poorvsnd Matt rode well this time it was the other way round. Need both the reserves to be firing if we want to get some points on the road. At the start of the season the two Monarchs reserves were looking to be a bit of trump card but it has not turned out this way Matt looked shocking in both meetings and with two newbies in the 1-5 the reserves do need to step up. Track preparation on Friday did not help matters is Doc no longer involved at Armadale.

Or was it due to having another extensive regrade after ht10 that yet again worked against us. We were in complete control up to that point but in heats 11 - 15 the score was 11-19. That would have finished us off against decent opposition, as it did on several occasions in 2017.

Is our governing body now that spineless they just roll over and let Poland tickle their tummy everytime . Anyway back to yesterday's meeting , thought it was going to be a battering at one point , but the Riss siblings saved face for the Monarchs . Erik was the only Monarch consistently competing out of the gate , though Mark joined him once he got his set up sorted out . Wells was average , but Pickering battled hard for every point . the other two were rubbish . For us , i don't think we're quite there yet . Vissing was brilliant , heat 14 was an awesome race . Kerr also had a superb meeting . Harris has yet to find his feet at Ashfield , Starke is still a bit up and down , while i don't know what issues Worrall is having , but he looks slow . Four third places is not what you want from your number 1 . The two reserves were steady and did what was expected of them , especially the heat two 5-1 against a supposed stronger pair . A seven point weekend puts us firmly in control of the group though .

Josh seems to be getting there, Ruml is doing well but struggling on the road a little bit that was to be expected but that’s when the reserves need to step up when they haven’t been, Andersson has just been awful. the boys want the track to be grippy but from speaking to the Riss brothers after Friday they said it was really grippy but it was inconsistent in places and making it difficult to ride, catching a lot of the guys out. Doc has retired from doing the track now, I believe it’s Ronnie Anderson and the Campbell brothers doing it now.
