Fozzie4388
What a great meeting. You'll have to go a long way for a better one this season. All 13 riders deserve credit absolutely brilliant stuff.
duffyscouse
Outstanding - a cracking advert for British Speedway with some great speedway on show - Come on BT Sports get to the next one ! Charles Wright and Kyle Howarth were the pick of the visiting bunch with Jason Garrity, Josh Auty and Jake Allen on form for the hosts - though the 2nd string also contributed and scored well
scunny1
Oh my word , now that was a good meeting with passing a plenty. Well done to all riders for putting on a great show. Good to see Steve Worrall looking so well at the end of meeting conference, hopefully back mid June ish???
lucifer sam
Best speedway meeting I've seen for years. Awesome.
Paul Johnson
not too bad for a rider who isnt the rider he once was and has had his day 1
Steve55
Some fantastic racing last night resulting in a deserved win for the home side in the end although they were challenged all the way through. Just a pity about the clown on the mic, he needs to get his hand in his pocket and get a proper presenter!

Steve55
Not like Shaun Leigh at all. What I'm alluding to is 1. After a minutes silence to pay respect to Ivan Mauger, one of, if not the greatest speedway rider of all time, Godfrey gives an anecdote about a time he made Ivan pay £300 to use the training track, a totally inappropriate story when paying homage to a legend. 2. When interviewing Damien Bates on the centre green he tried to belittle him and failed miserably. 3. Again towards the end of the meeting he spoke with the guy who sells the raffle tickets and there was reference made regarding 'organ grinder and monkey', when Godfrey declared himself the organ grinder. It was part of a question as to why the raffle wasn't conducted during the previous meeting and the explanation was that this guys mother was ill. Godfrey then asked how she was and was told, she's feeling better but was still in hospital. Godfrey then said "I don't care anyway!" from those that were listening to this in my vicinity there were gasps and looks of shock. If that's his sense of humour then he needs to get another, because he's just not funny, embarrassing but not funny!

Rob needs to be called to explain his position if that is all true. Obviously could not have done any good to himself or Scunny.
Lewis
Oh come on, thats Rob, he just jokes around, for certain Duffy knew he was joking about his mother. With regards to Damian Bates he was very respectful of Sheffield Speedway and it was an interesting question/answer, remember when Damian came back with "current champions", a good riposte. I for one and many others around me appreciate his comparing greatly. Rob wears his heart on his sleeve and sometimes says too much at times but I wasnt offended at all during the meeting. Shaun Leigh did fine at Scunny but I think Rob is much better for us as he has a vested interest. At Sheffield on the Thursday I could barely hear Shaun due to the quiet sound system.
Bostonian
Excellent couple of meetings on Thursday & Friday, hats to both sets of riders, totally committed and some tough yet very fair racing.I think there could be a bit more bite in this rivalry this year with Scunthorpe having a much better side than previous years. Thought both results were deserved on each night. Sheffield came good midway through the meeting on Thursday and Scunthorpe seem to run out of gas. Likewise Friday, Scunthorpe were always just ahead bar heat 1, and deserved their win. Some healthy crowds to boot as well! Some of the racing was outstanding, although I have to say the video's don't do them justice to actually being their live, in the moment.. Live speedway just doesn't compare to TV! More of that for the rest of the season from both sides, and we could have our local derby via the play offs as well!
Fozzie4388
I've never been Rob's biggest fan and he certainly isn't mine but I think he's great on the mic. A lot better then most especially the guy who did it a few times I think he used to do Sheffield too. Hoggy I think his name was. Used to annoy me when the race was about to start and he shouts IT'SSSSSSSSSSSSS 1 no it not its Heat 1.
