Poole v Belle Vue SGB Premiership A. 11th April 2018

Recommended Posts

Well this time we might actually be able to start our season! Forecast for Wednesday is dry with sunny periods.

The track has had extra time to bed it so it should be all systems go against Belle Vue. A very tough fixture to start our season and looking forward to it very much.

POOLE

1. Brady Kurtz 8.08

2. Josh Grajczonek 7.34

3. Kacper Woryna 4.65

4. Linus Sundstrom 7.22

5. Peter Kildemand

6. James Shanes  2.88

7. Mateusz Szczepaniak 4.54

BELLE VUE

1. Craig Cook 8.45

2. Rohan Tungate 6.18

3. R/R?

4. Paul Starke

5. Max Fricke 7.39

6. Dan Bewley 4.71

7. Jye Etheridge 3.89

The order of the Belle Vue team might be wrong. A tough opener but I fancy Pirates to open our home campaign with a win. The missing Worrall can be covered well by Fricke, Tungate, Starke and Bewley.

Thoughts?

It's sunny til BV bring their rain down with them! ;) It's okay to joke about the weather now right?! :D

Shame BV don't have a full team as SW has pretty good last time I saw him at Poole. Now there are no holes Max Fricke has no excuse to have his first good meeting here!

SS they might use a guest as I'm sure Charles Wright is booked to ride for them on Mon?

I’ll be coming down for this as I want to have a look at the old place while I can.

I’ve not been during the Fraud era for obvious reasons but the current rumblings have stirred me into action.

I’d booked this when we had our pre injury/broken heart line ups as I could see an Aces victory. Now it’s just a run out for the patched up Aces against an already strong pirates sides bolstered by the addition of PK.

It’s just me coming along as the cost for the family can’t be justified at this famously gate & go venue.

Looking forward to it anyway, just needed to dig out my Simmo rosette.

It don't look like a very tough meeting for that Poole team to me.

Fricke,Starke,Bewley and Tungate will cover well for R. Worrall..Not so sure about that one either SS.

The Aussie Champion, an Under 21 Champ, a Poole track specialist and by all accounts the best young rider since Michael Lee taking the rides of a third heat leader. Strengthens Belle Vue no end.

As many fans now can read you like a book. The usual and expected comments from you.

Poole must be the unluckiest team in the league to have to face teams at when they are at their strongest at any time in their league campaigns.

Funnily enough when Poole have to use R/R or a guest they are weakened.

Nice one SS same old bulls**t

Poole's own Comical Ali.

It was only recently you were predicting an away win at the NSS and now it's a tough home meeting after we've lost Worrall, who has been showing he has moved up another step this year and has arguably been our best rider.

If Poole are as good as you and some others have been claiming this should now be a relatively easy home win. Anything less and the spectre of another disappointing season may be looming on the horizon.

I think Belle Vue will move Paul Starke to number 2, the guest or RR will run at 3, Rohan Tungate will be at 4 and the reserves will switch with Dan Bewley at 7.

Can't see us getting much out of this match, despite the fact that the Aces have given Poole plenty to think about over the last 3 years. Pirates looking a really solid side this season.

Losing Steve Worrall is an absolute hammer blow as I've commented on other thread. He has looked rapid in our meetings to date. Rides Wimborne Road well, quality on the road for Belle Vue full stop. On the plus side, Dan Bewley will get more track time at a place he has yet to shine on, all part of his development.

Prediction: Cookie not in full flow yet & Poole not Fricke's favourite track : 53-37 Pirates.
