damosuzuki
For our friends in the (slightly) east, the weather is an improvement on expected. The track was fine last night so it's all go. Looking forward to this very much.
SharpenRake
The suns come out and the forecast keeps getting better. So really looking forward to this. No doubt there will be criticism from Blobby and Co about the track being to wet, slick, rough, patchy, bumpy, wide but as long as they come along and 'enjoy' themselves who cares. c'mon the stripes! Rico
Can see the Tigers hitting somewhere between 55 and 60 tonight, unfortunately.
CaptainAudi
Looking forward to heading through for this. Hopefully our new guys hit the ground running and we keep it tight, though I don't think that will be the case. Glasgow 51-39 Edinburgh is my prediction. According to blob man it is only a pre-season friendly , as far as we are concerned there are no friendlies in a local derby get out there and pump them, glad i got that off my chest feel better now. On a side note i notice Blobby has made reference to follow the leader on the track can i ask if this is based on every home meeting last season Blobby or what are you basing it on 3 meetings against Edinburgh ? if so i would be asking about the away teams attitude on not competing with the home team.

MD
Pretty decent opener, JPB done us a favour, Jack Thomas had one of the best senior debuts' you are likely to see. Pushed Sarjeant into the shadows, who clearly hasnt learned anything from the last 3-4 seasons with another batch of tapes offences. Vissing, Kerr and Starke superb. For the 0131, Wells and Riss E were good, Williamson strong at reserve. Ruml looked steady and Andersson not at the races. Well set up for next Friday. Bagpuss
Why not give Andersson his fourth ride?
Paulco
9 hours ago, Bagpuss said: Why not give Andersson his fourth ride? Cause he wasn't very good . Decent enough meeting , still a bit gate and go , but that was only the first meeting and it has the scope for improvement . After a mediocre first ride , Paul Starke certainly attacked the track and he looks a brilliant signing who will entertain us royally . A big criticism levelled at Claus Vissing , after we signed him , was that he was too much an individual rider and not really a team player . Well he certainly killed that myth stone dead with his ride to shepherd young Jack Thomas home for a meeting clinching 5-1 in heat 14 . The legendary Shane Parker would have been proud of that ride and he was the master at team riding . And on the subject of young Jack , all you can say is wow . He looked so steady , smooth and fast with none of the wobbling you expect from a two point novice . We look to have stumbled onto a real gem in young Jack . All in all to beat Edinburgh by 10 points without Bomber and Richie below par having blown his best engine on Thursday was a satisfying beginning to the season . Edinburgh had one or two plus points . Wells and E Riss delivered what you expect , Ruml looked steady enough and Williamson again showed his liking for Ashfield with a useful return from the reserve berth . Better is sure to come from M Riss and Pickering and time will tell if Andersson is capable of better than he showed last night . But it was bloody freezing in the Charlie Monk stand , my texting finger wasn't enjoying it too much lol
