2 minute start clocks

Why not just use the 2 minute flashing light at the starting gate.  It will cancel after 2 minutes and if the rider ignores the start marshal they are excluded.  All teams will have this function already in place so won't cost the clubs anything.

A point Tai made regarding Zagar at his talk in was interesting.  There is no minimum rider/bike limit so someone like Zagar will probably be 10-15 kg heavier than someone like Rohan.  Therefore there is no rule to help Zagar so why do people want the rule changed to help shorter riders?

You could do that, yes. But it does nothing to speed up the meeting. I might be wrong with this one, but arent UK league rules so, that as two mins are up, you need to be under starting marshalls orders?? What ever that means, but most likely extra 10-20 secs before green light is on.  Over here and in the GP when two mins is up, you need to be ready to start at the tapes.

No the two mins limit means the rider needs to be on the track at or heading straight to the tapes.  If he were on the track heading for the tapes then started gardening he can be excluded. This is how it was last year, have no idea if that was changed for this
