DunRobin
Interesting new rule. 15.8.1 If the Referee stops a heat, following an incident or accident, where the rider causing the stoppage and his team partner were in third and fourth place and a re-run is called with one of those riders excluded, the Referee has the sole discretion to order that the remaining team partner will start on a 15 metre handicap in gate position c or d (the opposing team does not change positions). I guess this is an effort to stop riders staying down to get a rerun & gain an extra chance in the rerun.
Daniel Smith
Also, for the 1st time SEC fixtures take priority over British Speedway.

SCB
Not an issue any more. Doubt there are many SEC meetings on a Monday or a Wednesday

I wouldn't be at all surprised in a couple of years if qualifiers moved to a Monday or Wednesday as it would suit Poland
g13webb
Did I miss the part about speeding the meeting up, or the bit about starting the meetings on time, What about the pit gate being close to stop riders returning to the pit s at every opportunity. ???  It seems al those issues that were voiced upon have been forgotten already,.....

The regulations are now 4mins instead of 5 from the crossing the finish line to the start of the next, inclusive of the 2mins. It should be a noticable difference, especially at King's Lynn anyway

Where does it say that? The only thing I can see if that the riders cannot leave the circuit, which isn't new.

Uluru
What does it matter, if the referee has put the two-minute warning on IMMEDIATELY he signals a recall? Have as many hangers-on as you like out on the track, the riders still have to be back in 120 seconds.

The opening of the pit gate and allowing the mechanics to come out to the bikes is one of the annoying wastes of time, this should have been stopped or the restart time should have been 1 min, put on as soon as the race is stopped.
mike1944
I think the speedway promotors believe that returning to the pits at every available oppotunity is part of the exciting evening's entertainment. Speed up proceedings too much and it could result in the meeting being over in 45 minutes tops or maybe even, faster making it appear poor value for the £15 or so admission charge

I think that's what i said. They are not allowed to leave the circuit. But i have seen them leave the circuit if a crash has happened.
