f-s-p
It’s no biggie currently to have two passports and ride for two countries. In supermoto think it was bulgaria that bought Mauno Hermunen to ride for them in a team wc. He had an actuall bulgarian pass in weeks having had no connection before. So vaculik and a nother, take your pick and SK can have a team.

Admittedly the meeting was in Slovakia and they might not be as keen to travel. Ukraine might be another interested. They usually compete in the Euro Pairs. Think Slovakia are restrictive on dual citizenship, unlike other countries.Might be easier for Vaculik an a.n.other to get citizenship for Kuwait,Turkmenistan or some other dodgy country and get some financial backing

Even the format isn't very unique. Didn't the ice racing once run a 2-day World Team Cup with a pairs format, and a slight different heat format on each day? kraftwerk
i have at least 17-18 countries in mind who would have a go at this ... probably not enough for a quali meeting for 3 extra teams, so lets see who they will pick. I would stage a quali meeting though, with all the outsiders like Norway, Finland, hungary, new zealand, bulgaria and romania ... probably even slovenia and slovakia to fight for the race off. If its a world championship, anyone should get the chance
Garry1603
Would it be a good chance to have England and Scotland teams back?

It would be , but unfortunately the days of Jim McMillan , George Hunter and Bert Harkins competing , and reaching the podium , in a World Pairs meeting are long gone . We don't currently have any speedway riders at a competitive level

What's the betting that a Poland II and III will end up in the Race-Offs?

What's the betting that a Poland II and III will end up in the Race-Offs? Without sounding too negative I suspect after a few seasons the novelty will wear off and we might see a combined Czech-Slovak team as Phil Rising hinted at or like you say some Poland II or as has happened in other comps a made up team(Adria or Europa)

But we were actually discussing the 'climax' element demanded by TV. Which the SWC managed without for many years producing exciting Speedway that came across brilliantly on TV and seemed to satisfy the media people as well as fans. Of course by having a two day event the organisers are actually ensuring that the first meeting ends with no climax at all. Which is strange if the TV people need it so much Try to think positively for a change.

If you take the 14 countries from last years underrated EU pairs championship, it's quite easy to get to the 15+ countries with this new format. If they close it to 15 i am sure some countries will be left out
