the track was too wet for the poles and many other top riders, woffinden commented about it in his interview, you see Wroclaw on tv every week and it’s never that wet, it played into our hands and we took it we were brilliant, let’s hope it’s the same tonight, top riders should be able to adapt to conditions but there were some Wroclaw track specialist who looked very slow last night, on another point someone told me last night that woffinden wants cook out of GB cause of a tweet Cook made, I remember seeing the tweet and it was awful but do you know if that’s true ?

Why do we as ‘supporters’ alwats try to create something that isnt there...

The first part definatly was there, as for the second but I was asking, I do remember the tweet in question and it was awful and would be understandable if true but I was just asking

THE same one that left Lambert out of a race which might, come Heat 21 this evening, prove critical. It is the riders who do the business, 100 per cent credit to Tai and Robert.

Lambert was not left out - Cook was programmed to ride. Thereafter Lambert was given Cook's rides, so it was Cook that was left out!

Rosco's job is not easy, Cook WHEN trapping is as good as it gets, team G.B. have got their under 21 reserve in great form which must be the envy of all the other nations.

Any knowledgeable speedway follower would not have given G.B. any chance of success before this event so lets not all get carried away just enjoy it.

ANY knowledgeable speedway follower would have known that Woffinden is the only double World Champion in the field, quite likely the best rider there, capable on his home Polish track of getting an 18-point maximum (he did) and that with a little support (which he got) GB would be in with a chance. Bit over-the-top to say that when he traps Cook is as good as it gets. I really would like to see Craig flourish at this level but at BV and Wroclaw and in two SGPs even when he gates he gets passed.

Polish manager is moaning that that track was doctored by Phil Morris. Said it was not the same as when the Polish riders practiced on it earlier this week. Said it went against his riders and played into the hands of the Brits. Said he would make sure the track is as it should be tonight.

Hope Phil Morris stands up to him and tells him to take a hike.

Where did you see this?

In the interview I read he said that he didn't want to discuss the subject of the track as it was the same for everyone and others just rode it better.

ALL valid points and as the owner of a weekly speedway magazine I would love to see speedway get the support in the UK that it does in :Poland.

Regarding BSI, of courser they need to make money, a profit as well as covering their considerable overheads: fees to the FIM, providing TV coverage, all the infrastructure and staff required not just at the weekends but throughout the year. Swedish and Danish tracks, especially, are experiencing a downturn because both countries lack a real superstar performer along the lines of Tony Rickardsson or Nicki Pedersen (at his best) to attract media coverage. There were no Danish or Swedish journalists in Wroclaw. There was a lull for Poland when Tomasz Gollob went off the boil and before the new group of Polish kids came to the fore. The attendance for the last SGP in Bydgoszcz, once an automatic sell-out, proves the point.

As for the last sentence Philip, as you well know the Women`s basketball took away most of the crowd. ;)

Yes, I had to laugh when Peter Oakes wrote this week in the Star that the SON was not the biggest event in Manchester on Tuesday. Surprise surprise.

As The Rolling Stones were playing at Old Trafford !

As if it were a close second ...

I imagine Wetherspoons saw more patrons than the NSS.

So what exactly was Cook‘s tweet that did upset Woffinden? Appreciate any feedback, thanks ...

Superb stuff from Woffinden and Lambert yesterday but only a start and no doubt conditions will be more favourable to the Poles tonight. But finish in the top 3 and anything is possible, especially with the advantage of having 2 riders who are actually capable of team-riding.

Phil Morris is a neutral , as we all know Phil is Welsh.  The under 21 reserve rule & Robert Lamberts current form has panned out brilliantly for team G.B. Question can the Poles change their team for tonight? as they have plenty to choose from.

On a slightly different note why are Poland allowed to stage 3? G.P.s this surely gives the Polish riders a huge advantage.

And there was me thinking Wales was part of Great Britain.

Cieslak said nothing about the track in the article. Phil Morris' name was subtly mentioned in the article by the journalist who wrote it, to tempt readers into thinking the track might have been set up for GB, without actually saying it.

Of course Lambert was left out of the race regardless of who was programmed..Lambert had ridden well in Manchester..he rode the first race and was competitive against the Swedes and beat Lindback...so he was replaced for sure....I'm a Cook fan but at that moment it was a huge error and just Rosco trying to look clever and it backfired...

Wales is actually part of Britain.
