RPNY
So in having the SON to give other countries a chance we have a final of Poland Russia Denmark GB Sweden Australia Germany Mission not really accomplished...
salty
Much more enjoyable than Saturday's fare. Good to see the riders from the lesser nations getting stuck in and upsetting the big boys. You see the advantage of the pairs format as it allows France, Finland etc to be more competitive than the WTC format.
TheReturn
That's a good positive interview from Rosco.

To be fair we could have had the Czech Republic or France and at one point Australia and Britain were looking a bit shaky.

He should have slowed right down, let Doyle pass him, and try to block Fricke. It was a waste of time going of into the distance.

If that race had been a 3-3 then Australia would have been in 2 run offs and with potential engine failure or a fall they could have gone out. Tai been cruising up until then. Look what speed he had to win against Sweden, and look at the 3-3 Aussie got against Finland. Aussie was in trouble an I see it as Tai helped them out. It could have put GB in a predicament. Don't be silly.
Grand Central
The rules have been discussed here for days. It is patently obvious that the object of the final is NOT to set out to win the race it is to do whatever necessary to make sure neither of you comes !ast. That is ALL! I just don't think some folk - some riders - have the capacity of understanding necessary. Edited June 5, 2018 by Grand Central

Ridiculous of Tatum to say he fully deserved the round of applause. At least try and slow the Aussies up a bit. Interesting you call winning a race pathetic. What would you use to describe the riders finishing last?

geoff100
Mr fantastic woffy rode over the grass every race to the tapes is that not an offence in fim rules ? Didnt see him look over shoulder in first race with craig but he did with lambert .
Bash
Thought the Swedes did all they could to get the Aussie out in the lottery of heats 22 & 23. They didn't seem too bothered against team GB as Freddie would've slammed the door shut on Woffinden but left him more than enough room. ouch
Funniest thing was seeing the track staff finally disregard a very animated Phil Morris from BSI, who just can to help themselves and have to interfere. Last few heats were closer to normal service. Intresting that the clerk of the course for this meeting was Mike Hunt. Quite apt. Shame for the French when set fair to meet the Aussies who they had already 4/3’d. Glad we beat them in heat two when things were a bit of a lottery due to the wet track. It made the later slip ups less of a consequence.

What is the format for 2 days? Aggregate scores after 42 heats. Top team goes to final, 2nd and 3rd to a semi final. Winner of 2nd v 3rd goes into the final. Champions decided purely on result of last heat regardless of points scored in the first 42 heats.

blocktread
As soon as the track was returned to how it normally is,not deep with dirt but slick on the inside and grippy outside the racing improved no end.Thought Morris would have learned that from the World Cup race off in 2016.The NSS isn't a track suited to deep dirt.
Mark
Track looked saturated early in the meeting which stopped riders passing as they couldn't see and it was very heavy. It looked a hot day so no blame attached to track staff. Really good from Woffy who again stuck two fingers up to his haters. Lambert was excellent and happy to mix it when it got tight. Feel sad for Cook as dropping him after one heat is an embarassment and it's hardly going to build confidence. Rosco didn't want him but (I thought) he felt he had to put a GP rider in the team. Cook would have been better being not selected as Lambert is by far the better rider on current form. If GB got a 5-1 in the first heat Rosco would have had to stick with Cook but dropping a point gave Rosco an open door. Will he do the same at Wroclaw. One heat, get a 5-1 or your out. That is unfair. Pleased the Aussies made the final as we'll see the world champion and Fricke should go well at his home track. The final should be a lot better than the two semi's as the teams are better matched, no soft heats. Could be a belter.
