Me neither. I thought the 'March' music was great when the Track Staff walked out, followed by the Riders. Of course, those were the days when Speedway was run professionally.

Irrelevant, gotta actually get the kids in first. Though oldies may well bail, then you have next to no crowd. Ideally play a mixture of up to date chart stuff & some faster rockier numbers most folk will like, but as already mentioned, not the same blooming stuff every single blooming time. Knew a DJ who used to do that, he may as well have just put a mix-tape on.... At last, there is music for the younger generation that I absolutely hate. Which is how it should be. Parents and kids liking the same music had become a bit of a thing that was not really how things were supposed to be.
uk_martin
With all this old time music being suggested, is it possible for the spectators to be given a pair of glasses with their admission ticket, so that they can watch the racing in black & white?

Can't remember what they are called ~ sounded a bit like some Chinese dish ~ but they won so I can't have been alone in thinking they were okay. "Moving that cornflakes. Rice Crispies" Cracks me up, that song. "Two plus two is four, minus one that's three, quick maths" Classic stuff! My son knows this off by heart and regularly entertains the family with it while holding his phone in his left hand. Not sure how well it would work during track grading between heats 4 and 5 though.  Edited December 14, 2017 by Grachan
