2019 Sgp Qualifiers - GP challenge final landshut Saturday July 28th

Recommended Posts

this year's Challenge line up is very anticlimactic, i honestly struggle to see anyone apart from Piotr Pawlicki worth adding to SGP's line up...

Milik - not consistent
Lindback - please god not again
Lambert - too early
Iversen - please god not again
Smolinski - meh
Bellego - definitely not good enough
Bjerre - booooring
Cook - see Bellego
Kasprzak - i simply don't like him
Andersen - not good enough
Pawlicki - yes please
Fricke - only if Chris Holder doesn't end up with a wildcard again
Wolbert - no thanks :)
Kolodziej - i dont think he can do much better than in 2011
Zagar - he'll probably somehow end up 7th or 8th in SGP 2018 overall anyway
Holder - too early / not good enough

so yeah it's not looking good (for me at least), but if I had to choose three then Pawlicki, Kasprzak and Lambert or Fricke

You could watch live from Togliatti in 2017.

Where? I remember having to have one of the Polish sites that provide updates on constant refresh and jumping around like a blue-bottomed canary at work when Cook finished 4th!

The club did a small river(i`m not to use the actual word) if you find last years thread you will find that someone found it and posted it. edit here http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/83426-grand-prix-challenge-2017/&page=25

Interesting to see how this goes, for mine there's 8-9 riders could win this if at their best but inconsistency is a big issue for many of them.  Hopefully the track has more to offer than a gating competition and is prepared so as to allow genuine racing.

I'll opt on this track for Milik, Smolinski, Kasprazak, but very hard to call.  A shame in my view that Madsen and Jepsen Jepsen are missing.

Although Lambert had a nightmare in Cardiff I do feel by next spring he could perform well at GP level. Here's hoping he qualifies.

1 Vaclav Milik - Can mix it with the best but only as a spoiler
2 Antonio Lindback - On his day a great rider but far too often disappointing
3 Robert Lambert - Tai was same age in 2010 and he learnt from it GO ROBERT
4 Niels Kristian Iversen - Not the rider he was and like Lindback
5 Martin Smolinski - Not for me and not going to add much
6 David Bellego - Not GP standard
7 Kenneth Bjerre - See Iversen
8 Craig Cook - Think the GP is too much for him to deal with
9 Krzysztof Kasprzak - Going well in Poland but inconsistent in GP
10 Hans Andersen - Great team man but see Bjerre
11 Piotr Pawlicki - Class racer and can add spice to the line up
12 Max Fricke - Better than any other Aussie (Doyle not inc)
13 Kevin Wolbert - No
14 Janusz Kolodiej - Still a capable rider on his day.
15 Matej Zagar - Deserves to be in GP and won't be in top 8 GP scorers
16 Jack Holder - No thanks

Piotr Pawlicki, Robert Lambert, Matej Zagar

Kasprzak, Kolodiej, Milik or Fricke otherwise

I actually agree with this to an extent and in terms of the track I think both Smolinski and Milik will do very well.

I would also expect an experienced rider like Zagar or Iversen possibly even a Lindback on his day to qualify.

Do the young guys possess the experience... possibly not but I would give the best chance to Robert Lambert making the top 3 but I will be interested to see how Jack Holder goes as he is very much a form man in the UK atm.
