Although Scott is British and from Nofolk, he has some American ancestry (a parent or grandparent?). About 4 or 5 years ago, when teams nominated 10 riders for the SWC squad, America only had about 5 riders, and Campos' ancestry was enough to be able to add him to the squad. I do believe he was born in Ipswich, which of course is Suffolk and not Norfolk.

You send his christmas card to Suffolk then. As far as I'm aware he lives just a few miles from King's Lynn. (Though I think his address might actually be Lincolnshire as he's right on the Lincs/Norfolk border).

Sings4Speedway
Was going pretty well for the Warriors. Maybe Danno can conquer his big track issues but feels like a big risk that could hurt the prospects of both rider and club.
arnieg
It may be a risk but the fact that Danno (and Ben Morley) are showing the ambition to improve their all round riding skills, even though it may cost them in the short term, should be applauded. It is the sort of commitment that should make them popular with fans. I hope it works out for both of them. (Last year signings of Campos and Portwood raised a few eyebrows, but both were very popular - so it is clear that such left field signings can work for the Warriors).
Islander15
I know he's struggled on big tracks in the past, but as long as he can master Smallbrook it's fine and he should help us out away!
Popular Post barrybishop
I read all your comments with interest and I thank you all for them. One of the things that determined this years team for us was a hunger to come to the club. In seasons past, we have struggled to get people over to the island and this has narrowed our opportunity for rider selection. The very young 15 - 18, normally have school during the week, so reserves the opportunity to the next hot shot to their local or weekend club and they remain quite a challenge to find. Although, as a club we have never prevented starlets coming over and indeed encourage them as part of the GB Young Lions. I have also invested time and support to various young riders including Drew Kemp, Kyle Bickley, Chad Wirtzfeld and James Shanes to name but a few, because I believe in them as much as I believe in the riders we have selected this season, all of whom can progress this year. The second aspect we want are team players and all of the riders announced so far fit that bill perfectly. We want unity and a belief in the common goal.... which I know is always easier when you have a winning side for sure, but with strong, fun characters in the team along with very capable heat leaders and experience the combination is there for success. The other factor for us is pay....simple as. We cannot afford to pay the requirements that some riders have asked for, nor we will get into any price war. We have a scale and thats that, and the core objective remains the same... be the best we can be and hopefully that is trophy winner, while remaining viable, providing a fun filled family night out where our guests are valued and get value, while developing riders via the school and our NDL/SDL Teams. #comeonyouwarriors . TurnTwo
Probably the best team they have fielded since there return but unfortunately still not a team that will win all their home matches

waco
Most teams look weaker this season ,but some sides have creamed of the best young riders..they are the likely to be top leagueI contenders ..IOW have a big home track advantage and if the signed riders get dialled in early Thay should do ok at home at least., I know Ben Morley is investing heavily on the right engine for the big ,track, and is intent on giving IOW 110 .per cent... TurnTwo
I agree, and there will Be teams built that are far weaker than IOW the team definitely has potential for growth in Sealey Verge & Portwood. I think Campos avg is his swan song and widders won’t ever be much higher than what he is but it’s still a decent second string Morley will hit double figures wherever he goes In this league and Hopwood will probably finish on an 8 pointaverge or just under as he does score very well at IOW.
