SCB
So now what? You have two riders injured, you use R/R for one, what do you do for the other? Because the other 7 teams will all be racing themselves on most Mondays and Wednesdays now.
KN1
Should be allowed irr even if already on rr, or you use a championship rider as a guest if two out before tapes up. Imo
waytogo28
Buster promised us a few weeks ago that he wanted more guests, as and when possible. So there is bound to be a new "rule" which permits them to fly in from somewhere ( or perhaps be cloned ).

Woz01
Use a championship rider. Yes if your number one is the injured rider you'd be screwed but most of the time your screwed anyway.
ouch
Chances are a CL heat leader will be doubling up anyway thus making him unavailable.
SCB
Use a Championship rider? Which one, they all ride in the Premiership anyway, thats why we have to have fixed race nights to stop the clashes.  Last season the options would have been Summers, Lindgren, Ostergaard and Jonas B Andersen  So your star man is out and you want them replace by that lot? Grachan
Nick Morris, if he doesn't get a team in the top flight. BTW, if Nick Morris just rides Second Division, who can he guest in place of? Presumably, all of a sudden, he'd no longer be an over-8 point rider? B.V 72
For me R/R No 1 out 2 and 3 take rides No2 out 1 and 3 No 3 out 2 and 4 4 out 3 and 5 5 out 4 and reserves.Reserve out champ league guest.More than 1 out Champ league guest for lowest averaged rider. In most cases you would use you own teams riders and more than 1 out you would not be using riders from the same league. This would stop teams using ringers that ride a particular track well. Just an idea as most fans don't like guests in most cases your own riders will have to cope with the loss of a missing rider.

waytogo28
"Guests Galore" i've seen that film before! Or was it Whisky Galore? Same kind of madness results ( when you have too much / many ).

waytogo28
Maybe it was Pussy Galore? Â I am teetotal it so has to the Pussy one for me ( if we are still allowed to make a choice personally and individually that is ).
MattK
Nick Morris, if he doesn't get a team in the top flight. BTW, if Nick Morris just rides Second Division, who can he guest in place of? Presumably, all of a sudden, he'd no longer be an over-8 point rider? Â Forward thinking Championship clubs might be able to sign Morris and Thorrsell at a discounted price (per point) on the assumption they will be able to top up their earnings with lashings of Premiership guest bookings. Â Similarly, a big bonus of signing for Swindon is that it will free up a rider's availability to do Premiership guest bookings.

But will that reduce his average for 2019 so that he can then, if things stay the same, get a team place.
MattK
But will that reduce his average for 2019 so that he can then, if things stay the same, get a team place. Â No, it won't change his Premiership average. Â Don't forget, in 2019 the rules are likely going to change again. How often are these arbitrary limits kept for more than one year? Woz01
I very much doubt the one over 8 will be in the league next year as it's likely the top riders will have bigger averages now the tac sub rule has been brought back in. jimmy jimmy
They should allow short term replacements for an injured no 1, the cup final would have been a lot better with Zagar and Woffinden in it, Fricke and Lindgren didn't total themselves for a tactical gain... ProudtobeaBrummie
In any other team sport players get injured correct ? and when they do so there respective teams get weaker that is just a fact so why should speedway be any different ?
