workyboy
If we re arranged a fixture for the 28 April, was it not on here or some other forums that Nicolai Klindt would be riding in a qualifying meeting for something or another. If this is the case, will we be allowed a guest or will it have to be a N L rider. IMHO ... tell them to go forth and multiply.

Bspa or Glasgow Lots of posters suggest that the lack of fixtures is a joke, no one wants to come and race Workington, and we'll never get the shield finished. Glasgow seems to have agreed to come so why not run a match. I'm sure a guest would be allowed for any rider if they are racing in Poland or official fixture Edited April 24, 2018 by SharpenRake

Not too bothered what happens as it is all hot air and bluster from some on here when they post before the brain engages.

If both teams can't field their own 1-7 then imo don't run it until they can..unfair for either team to field a guest for the sake of getting a fixture in , its not as if there are loads of meetings this season

Re arranged fixtures will always dent the best laid plans, injuries will do the same and as no club can afford a squad to pick from guests are a necessary evil, there is no point to running a competition at the start of the season as a curtain raiser and not finish it until Sept/Oct, as Jenga says, start later, match or two for cobweb removal, league underway!! The paying public will always watch speedway guests or not but the fixtures should be completed by a certain time and no questions asked, clubs know the problems caused by riders going here there and everywhere but they still sign them and run the risk therefore, fixture needs running, guest employed to cover, match completed, it has to be that way or we'll never get anywhere?
