SCB
Can't gate for toffee, there are far better riders available at this level imo an more importantly he will not come cheap He had the 3rd highest away average in the Championship in 2017, with Cookie not riding Championship that will make him 2nd (to Grajczonek), the only reasons Bombers average was not much higher was his home scores and he's rarely been that great at Peterborough. Ride a home track he likes and can score well on each week and he'll put his average up, something you can't say for many other 9 point men. workyboy
Looks like we'll be running Monday's or Wednesday's. Not a good switch for shift worker or kids. Even traveling support could be down all over the league. Can't see parents letting their kids out till after 9pm on a school day. Pleased were back on track

Marksman
So our request to change race night to Fridays was rejected. But Glasgow and Scunthorpe are fine they can move to Fridays! Whole thing stinks to me, must be good having someone from your club on the BSPA management committee. Sticking with Saturday nights isnt going to go well, competing against 10 weeks where Craig Cook will be riding on tv in the Grand Prix, yes youll be amazed how many wouldnt bother going and saving their cash. Add in all the other things and events attend on a Saturday, the Comets management have really got a big task on their hands to improve crowds. Baldyman
You can race on Thursday Friday Saturday or Sunday...so why are you not allowed to change to Fridays?

topaz325
You can race on Thursday Friday Saturday or Sunday...so why are you not allowed to change to Fridays? Because Glasgow and Scunthorpe applied to, nothing against Worky promotion but there was no Promoters at the AGM from Workington due to family reasons. comet49
Main thing is we’re still racing, I didn’t expect knowing so quickly, let’s hope they can put a competitive team together and fans come back to see them.

Gazc
Good to see the Comets coming to tapes, it will have been an anxious wait something we were all too familiar with in years gone by. But pleased to see it has worked out, one thing though can we not muzzle Jenga for a few months apart from that minor irritant all is good.

D/U shouldn't be a problem next year as there won't be any clashes between Premiership/Championship fixtures as they all race on different nights ( apart from possibly Swindon on the odd thursday they need to use. StevePark
Workington are still not 100% running in 2018 according to this: http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/sport/Workington-Comets-owner-considering-clubs-future-after-race-night-switch-rejected-1bb9fae6-16f3-44b4-b557-e629f7a56704-ds

Would struggle financially. why shouldn't they.they obviously think that they can albeit with a change of race night
