orion
The worst agm ever ..they take a step forward by going to set race nights giving them a chance to bring better riders in. then they take it away by only allowing one rider over 8 .yet again when Poole see teams with an a advantage along comes this crap rule .You have a points limit if teams wants to go top heavy then that should be allowed to . it's bad enough for swindon losing Thursday's but not having Doyle or morris will kill there crowds .it fact the league might lose the world champion completely .And finally the worst thing of all time bringing the stupid and unfair old ts sub rule back ..no doubt they must have listened to the fans over 60.Double points was Mickey mouse this is far worst what a joke .

Agree - except the bit about Poole - It was done by majority. Some brown envelopes (or bricks) may have been exchanged but that would just be speculating. g13webb
I thought the main reason for fixed race nights was to encourage some of the top riders to return, and have more control on DU's, Guests and R/R. There was talk of making the two leagues equal in numbers, with the emphasis on the top division. but none of this has been achieved... Â Rather than investigate why clubs refuse to join the Premier league in an effort to make it stronger, the BSPA seem hell bent, on creating as many opportunities possible, for the riders to earn more pay cheques, at the expense of everything else. I sometimes think the riders are more important than the fans... Wouldn't surprise me if they create a third league soon so riders can join three clubs... Â Selecting Wednesdays as race nights has all but concluded any business we may have had with Danish riders,,, and this '1 over 8' is merely a deflector (stupid Rule) to hide some of the more obvious faults to come from the AGM... With no talk of restriction on the number of Double Uppers, it appear the championship sides have a free hand to pick who they like. Â I was hoping this was going to be a new beginning......... am wrong again......
Steve Shovlar
Can you explain why this is Poole fault? Poole actually voted for making up the team as promoters see fit. With Belle Vue unable to vote the bottom four voted for only one above 8 so riders would be fairly distributed. Poole, Swindon and Wolves outvoted. Â Magic was a possible return to Poole in 18. Not now.

YerRopes
I was hoping for a positive AGM that would make me excited for the new season. Â True to form, that hasn't happened.. Â I want to see Robins riders ride for Swindon, not to be forced out for no good reason ! Â Very disillusioned at the moment !
Mattfordfan
The rule was voted in by the 4 teams who didn't make the play-offs!! Â Sounds about right considering Somerset cant afford top riders. Nobody but NKI would want to ride for Buster. Rye House plan on using Harris, KK and Nicholls I would think and Leicester already have a No.1 But now there are other options.......!! :-) Â Not going to get any superstars on a 7 something average. Hope so but I cant see it.

Paddy The Rebel
Just when you think everything is going right in the agm along come the teams at the bottom we want to introducea stupid rule so we get a top rider,so next year when all those 4 teams finish in the bottom 4 again what they going to do then 1 rider over 7 ffs,why does this sport allways get draged down nearly every year the product gets weaker due to the teams who dont do well crying we want top riders,if you cant attract top riders why the hell are you in the top league!! Â LET TEAMS BUILD FREELY TO HOW THEY SEE FIT ARGHHH!!!

BWitcher
Poole actually voted for making up the team as promoters see fit. With Belle Vue unable to vote the bottom four voted for only one above 8 so riders would be fairly distributed. Poole, Swindon and Wolves outvoted. Â Magic was a possible return to Poole in 18. Not now. Â Of course they did. Safe in the knowledge that the bottom four would pass the motion. Â Just as they have done in the past. Little doubt Ford or one of his cohorts will have had a word in the ear of one of those lower teams and planted the seed. We've seen it too many times before. Â The main team it seems to screw though is Swindon.. Wolves and Belle Vue shouldn't have much of an issue, especially if Wolves can tempt Piotr Pawlicki back. Top three of Lindgren, Masters and Pawlicki, combined with the old tac sub rule would be very strong. Â If Wolves were stupid enough to let Pawlicki join Poole... that changes things. You don't know how Ford works then, he has and still wants strong teams not weakened product year on year.
