If Ipswich have stayed in the championship, with their insistence to retain their Thursday race night . My guess then, assumes the two fixed race nights will be Mondays and Wednesdays.....

It seems again, we have all the promoters, from both divisions working together to put the sport first.......... Yeah right...

Must be because some championship teams dont feel like they have the ability to get certain riders. Clubs must stay within there means.

I will reserve final judgement until press release but if this is the case then the 8 existing teams did not do enough to encourage them up, for example lowering the points limit so they could get a competitive team or bringing in a pay cap so they were not taking such a big financial risk .

Agree we need to see full content of AGM but the initial release doesn't initially inspire.

If it is 8 & 11, initial thoughts are as it is for Prem and maybe Lakeside topping up existing Champ.

So all the gossip re 1/2 coming up has not come to pass it seems. Interesting to see why they decided not to and maybe explains the slow progress of the meeting and lack of any positive updates.

I followed your various posts re changing things for the better of UK Speedway but in all honesty I could never see the main teams in the Prem such as Poole/BV/Wolves etc agreeing to lower both the standard and implement things like a pay cap.

I for one want to see both top riders and good racing. Taking the sport back to near enough basic level with little to no overseas stars is not for me the way forward.

Anyway let's see the full announcement but looks like it may be more of the same and if points dropped to say 41 then chances are lower level again. Hopefully at least some fixed nights will bring some of the stars most of us want to see over. Those that choose to sign them, it is their choice and if my club can afford that luxury then fine by me.

Yes I'd prefer they'd let clubs build how they like to the limit but they've got it pretty much spot on. We should see some solid line ups next year. No double points, back to the old tac sub which most on here seemed to prefer.

I don't see the point of forcing teams to have only one rider with an average of over 8!! There were 7 riders in the premiership last season who finished with an average above 8. Assuming Vaculik will come in on a plus 8 average that means those riders will fill the top spot in all of the current teams. So much for attracting quality riders to come back to the league... there's no room for them! I thought we needed more riders in Britain yet we are making things more difficult for absolutely no reason. If you have a team points limit, let teams build their team how they want!

We started with two riders over 8, why shouldn't we be allowed to do the same....

i do agree with you lets be honest most poole supporters expected to have a rider on a higher average than brady in the team .same old story swindon being punished for being a suxcess last season

Wednesday nights? Well that effectively rules me out for the entire season then.

One rider over 8? Load of old nonsense. It's not just about team strengths, it's about keeping the riders that mean something to supporters. It also rules out any new decent riders as Vaculik makes up the full quota of 8 riders.

I wonder how many riders over 8 the team run by the Chairman has.

Tac subs? Look forward to seeing everyone complain about how unfair they are.

Why is it always Swindon that get stuffed in the AGM?

BV were losing Bjerre anyway - more definite now that Wednesday is one of the fixed nights, but tough on Wolves and Swindon in particular.

I wonder where Thorsell and either Doyle or Morris will race - or will it be 'if'??

Assuming it was the 8 Premiership clubs that voted in the 'one over the 8' rule, I wonder which clubs were in the majority?? Very odd rule.
