dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
He isn't. Someone posted this on the Ipswich thread but I don't think it has any substance. Anyway, Chris Louis will be announcing his 1 -7 at 6pm this evening so we might find out more then..There is every substance to it I can assure you.Questions have been and continue to be asked however about the justification of the decision. Panthers89
Also means Kim Nilsson is a no go then, as that could have been do-able for the Hammers.
TonyE
Weird decisions like this one, if true, are just what gives speedway a bad name. It should be transparent and any rationale involved made public. How does it square with 'restraint of trade' issues? E I Addio
It's only the reintroduction of a long standing rule that was dropped last year. What exactly is the rule? It seems inconsistent that Bomber can ride in the CL and Scott can't.
TonyE
I'm not sure the rule would survive a legal challenge.
screm
What exactly is the rule? It seems inconsistent that Bomber can ride in the CL and Scott can't. Harris has a Championship average where Nicholls hasn't, maybe that has something to do with it.

Cliv Clav
Harris has a Championship average where Nicholls hasn't, maybe that has something to do with it.Very unfair on Scott though, if true, as Harris and Cook both have higher averages and are eligible for the Premiership. Also, Nicholls was guesting for Premiership teams at the end of the season. Not fair on a British rider who has been entertaining the British fans for 20 years and is looking to ride and earn as much as possible in his last few years before retirement. Maybe a foreigner will have to be brought in to fill this Brit's potential team spot(!) Edited November 26, 2017 by Cliv Clav
bigcatdiary
I'm not sure the rule would survive a legal challenge.Im not sure any rule in uk speedway would survive a legal challenge. And the rationale is?Its crap, pretty much standard fare for the BSPA. marko
So we think it could rule of Scott Nicholls, it does now rule out Rory as he is staying put, so that still leaves the door open on Lawson, Morris and maybe Kyle Newman might be a target, would make a good number 4?
Paddy The Rebel
Didnt jon cook say they would have a rider that hasnt rode in league before. Im guessing lawson and kennett will be in the team, along with zach w and morley at reserve.
Baldyman
Kyle would be a brilliant catch..gives his all and likes tracks like yours.
StevePark
Re: Scott Nicholls. I find it bizarre that he can guest in the Championship at the end of the 2017, but can't ride in the Championship in 2018, presumably on the (roughly) same average. Baldyman
But they didn't have the rule in place last year It's speedway..they like to change the rules up and confuse everyone.
liam
Would love to sign a rider like Newman, real racer and doesnt give up. If we do have Kennett, Lawson, Ben and Zach we have riders who are good at home so we need the other three to be good on the road.
Baldyman
Well out of all the tracks still after riders..I would imagine you have a good chance of getting kyle as he scores very well on small tracks..and he wants to earn money. I find it bizarre that he can guest in the Championship at the end of the 2017, but can't ride in the Championship in 2018, presumably on the (roughly) same average. It's not complicated. Until last year he couldn't, this year he could have done and next year he won't be able to. This year was a case of fixing something that wasn't broken, as they're wont to do, in fact it made it worse by allowing more Premiership riders to double up in the Championship.
Mattfordfan
Lawson, Kennett, Robson, Morley & Wajtknecht + 2 more.
