I would imagine Chris Louis' 20 seasons at Ipswich (as a rider, rather than subsequently a promoter) would be hard to beat.

Chris Louis must be some sort of a rarity considering the influence of points limits and other factors that have been common place within British Speedway over the last twenty years or so?

Not at the top of the list, I know, but Johnsy deserves a mention for 16 years at Plough Lane.

 

However, I know not every season was "full-time", but Thommo appeared for Hackney in 20 consecutive seasons.

That counts.

 

Chris Louis' first year at Ipswich (1988) was as a rider from the lower league filling in for absent riders.

 

In terms of consecutive seasons, Thommo has it, because Louis missed a season in the middle of the sequence.
