Call me wolfie
Have to disagree - BV only beat Swindon in the KO Cup semi because of the two poor performing Poole riders. If they had ridden to their potential then Swindon would have done the double this season Ifs buts and maybes And Swindon only beat Wolves in the final because they were severely weakened, Lindgrens replacement only scoring 4 points at Monmore, Bombers poor performance that night is the only reason they won Edited October 18, 2017 by Call me wolfie
Steve0
And Swindon only beat Wolves in the final because they were severely weakened, Lindgrens replacement only scoring 4 points at Monmore, Bombers poor performance that night is the only reason they won My starting point was that at full strength, I think Wolves would have had two trophies in the cabinet this season. The reason Swindon won is that they were the best team on aggregate over the two legs.
SUPERACE
Have to disagree - BV only beat Swindon in the KO Cup semi because of the two poor performing Poole riders. If they had ridden to their potential then Swindon would have done the double this season Ifs buts and maybes Imagine if cook and bewley rode in the first leg, if jack smith didnt get injured in heat 2 which left us with 1 reserve and 1 heat where we could only have 3 rides and add the fact BWD taking an illegal ride the lead Swindon took to BV would of been a couple of points if any at all. Aces were deserved winners of the cup. Swindon deserved winners of the play offs End of story.
hyderd
Wolves won 51-38 in the play off semi with Thorsell crashing out in heat 14 and Belle Vue only missing Smith. As i said only my opinion. Yes and in the return Belle Vue won 51-39 losing out by a single point.

Would have won by more overall had Lindgren not crashed out in heat 13. Edited October 19, 2017 by foreverblue

Thats the heat Bjerre was wrongly excluded from , maybe it would have closer than 1 point If KB would have took his rightful place in the re-run ? Who knows Edited October 20, 2017 by WestGorton1884

On play off night Lindgren wss unbeaten up until his crash. Bjerre should not have been excluded either.
bellevueace
Before that heat 7 people were saying that wouldnt happen at all so who can say for sure what would happen in any given race? Its easy to say what you think the outcome of a particular race would be thing is sport doesnt always pan out the way it should on paper.

DC2
Ummmm, not really great riding or particularly exciting, just plugging away on a ridiculously wide dirt line.
Phil The Ace
Ummmm, not really great riding or particularly exciting, just plugging away on a ridiculously wide dirt line. There was really no dirt line. The track was really slick inside and out. This is a 18 year old lad beating a 7 time British champ. Past his best or not.
B.V 72
Ummmm, not really great riding or particularly exciting, just plugging away on a ridiculously wide dirt line. The exciting part is that this kid is only 18 years of age and in his 2nd season of riding a speedway bike and already at a level where he made Nichols and Harris look slow.If he handles the bike like that and can generate that much speed now what is to come.As a Belle vue fan I am very excited anticipating whats to come. Aces51
It was a good race by any standards, not someone plugging away on a ridiculously wide line but a rider with the skill and courage to ride a line that none of the other, far more experienced riders, were either brave enough to ride or, thought it the quickest line to ride. I would hope that most fans can appreciate and enjoy a ride like that from a young British rider, still with less than two years racing experience, slowly but surely hauling in and then passing on the run in to line a quality rider like Nicholls.
