racers and royals
Sam Masters is the wildcard with Justin Sedgman and Davey Watt the reserves. Craig Ackroyd is the ref start time is 7pm local with the 1st race at 7.15- time difference means- I think- 9am and 9.15am respectively in the UK ON SATURDAY MORNING. Ghostwalker
That is correct R n R regarding the time difference. 19.00 in Melbourne is 10.00 in the CEST time zone and 09.00 in the BST time zone. https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?iso=20171028T080000&p1=152&p2=1387

Midland Red
Meaningless fixture - pointless travelling t'other side of globe for it Just to see Tai Woffinden do a lap of honour? Oh, and Jason Doyle too? A World Final in Australia would be something worthwhile

racers and royals
That is a joke. Why isn't Ficke and Tungate reserves? Fricke can`t be in the meeting and reserve at the same time
Ghostwalker
Fricke can`t be in the meeting and reserve at the same time I forgot that he was already in but the question still remains though why anyone would think that Watt is suitable reserve,
Triple.H.
I forgot that he was already in but the question still remains though why anyone would think that Watt is suitable reserve, He qualified by right due to his finishing position in the Australian championshipI agree it's daft when he retired earlier this season but maybe Motorcycling Australia want to thank him for his efforts over the years. PHILIPRISING
IT is also Watt's farewell meeting and the Aussies felt he deserved the chance to make his exit at the Etihad.
Trees
IT is also Watt's farewell meeting and the Aussies felt he deserved the chance to make his exit at the Etihad. It wouldn't have been BSI's idea, what do they care .....
sommelier
That is a joke. Why isn't * and Tungate reserves? In all fairness, Nick Morris should have got the nod for this one
Midland Red
IT is also Watt's farewell meeting and the Aussies felt he deserved the chance to make his exit at the Etihad. Makes an absolute mockery of the whole circus, irrespective of who the rider is
Duane
He finished 3rd in the Aussies, which means 2nd reserve , whos to say he will even get a skid on. MA gave Watty the chance to have his final meeting in Aussie. Fair play to them, at least it gets me into the pits... 👍🏻
racers and royals
Anyone know how ticket sales are going- with Doyle not winning the title today could it be the biggest crowd yet at the Etihad ??

OveFundinFan
I dont know Davy Watts or what he has done in his speedway career, and I suppose there is no harm in him being meeting reserve. But I do think that having a youngster in that spot (maybe Morris/Kurtz) would be an opportunity to let them soak up the atmosphere of a home GP from the pit perspective - after all, they are likely to be there one day whilst the likes of a Davy Watt is not. And any case, if Austrailian speedway wanted to celebrat his riding career then shouldnt that be done at an Australian level and not a world level. Just my opinions.

waiheke1
Makes an absolute mockery of the whole circus, irrespective of who the rider isYeah imagine saying that the wild card spot and reserve berths would be based on performance in the national champs, and then actually doing just that. What a mockery!
